The Master Bedroom is spacious and yet cozy. Lots of windows let in copious amounts of sunlight. It is directly attached to the master bath for convenience and the room has in suite laundry, a closet and a exercise machine for keeping fit.
Interested in something that is not "run of the mill"? Look no further... Voted the most mysterious house in Saint Paul by the Pioneer Press. The Manor has a large enclosed courtyard with a fire pit, picnic area, and off street parking. We are close to both downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis, it is 10 miles from MSP International Airport.
Quaint and charming are some of the words used to describe this unique place. We have a wonderful doberman named Scorch and an amicable room mate that lives here as well. The Manor is in its last phase of reconstruction (kitchen) thus the affordable price.
We also book for larger day time events like weddings, ceremonies, rituals etc. for up to 75.
Off street parking inside our compound
Clean and neat bedroom with fresh linens
Stand up or sit down shower and a whirlpool tub.
High speed internet

Interaction with Guests
I try to determine the right amount of interaction per guest. I like to chat and have stimulating discussion but also know when its time to get busy and get things done.
I live in a diverse neighborhood that is often busy and bustling but we have a compound that creates an inner sanctum, like a place out of time. It has been described as a country place hidden in the city.
Plenty of mass transit options, the bus line is only 1 1/2 blocks away and light rail is about to open up between Minneapolis and St Paul and is about 12 blocks from us.
I also offer airport pick up and/or drop off for $20 a trip. Other rides can be arranged as well according to my schedule.
The rules are like when you visit your grandmothers...
Also the courtyard is gated so please close and latch gate when coming and going.
Our stay at The Manor was the icing on the cake for a wonderful overnight trip to St. Paul The "bed and bath" itself was beautifully decorated with artistic view and cared for by its owner and the personal items such as photos and family mementos added a sense of home to the atmosphere that is often lost in some more commercial establishments. Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the house which included the artworks of Sean- Scorch was a wonderful tour guide - We were shown to our room which was again beautifully decorated. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the massage jets in the Double (yes I said double) shower were a nice touch along with the ability to sit and relax in the shower . Breakfast is not served at this location as it is only a Bed and Bath- however the conversation till midnight with Sean about his ventures and his continued plans of renovation were riveting. The Manors proximity to local foods and the light rail to attractions was very nice . I'm aware of the Frogtown area and it was surprising to find this B-B in the area.
We had reservations one night for the Master Room which was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed the decorative mirror on the ceiling - under recommendations we ate Trotters for breakfast and enjoyed Wet paint on Grand Ave after a night of inspiration from Sean
- You cannot go wrong with The Manor- and its history is interesting conversation as well- I can't wait to see what Sean comes up with for the kitchen renovations as this house is still in the middle of being renovated - his ideas are inspiring-
Oh and ask about the cool tricks that scorch can do- searching was fun to watch!
Sean was a great host. He helped get my bags upstairs to the room. The house, although partially undergoing a remodel is gorgeous. Felt very comfortable; slept exceptionally well, I'm sure part of that was due to being able to take a nice, long whirlpool bath. Definitely recommend and will certainly go back.
Being at the Manor was a fabulous experience from the moment we arrived. Sean is a wonderful, kind host who makes you feel welcome. The Manor has very positive energy as it is a labor of love and creativity for Sean. Being here was wonderful from the moment we got here. And his lovely canine companion Scorch is a heart stealer!! Love you Scorch! Oxox
If you have the opportunity to stay here grab it ;)
Thanks for the great memories Sean!
Sean was a great host! He communicated very clearly every step of the way, and was right there at the gate to greet me with his dog-buddy, Scorch. Everything was as-described, and very pleasant. Highly recommended!
Sean was very welcoming and his place is definitely one of the more unique places you'll find. Sweet dog, great room and bathroom. I would definitely stay again.
Sean is a welcoming host, a true Renaissance man and an interesting conversationalist. He is doing amazing things with this place and its well-worth your time to check it out. My stay in the Master bedroom was quiet and comfortable. It was a convenient and relaxing place to unwind while visiting family in St. Paul. Thanks Sean, I'll be back!
Sean was a great host. I stayed here while attending a conference down town at the Crown Plaza (about 2.3 miles away). It was nice to walk to a completely quite neighborhood. Sean's dog guards the place, and gets to know you in about 5 seconds.
The rooms are up a circular staircase and then a few steps. They are clean and comfortable with a shared bathroom.
Great looking house.

Hello and welcome
As well as being the owner operator of the Manor I am an artist and creative inventor. It is my goal to open up the large carriage house studio work space as a place to hold workshops and mentorships for many disciplines of art. Not only teaching myself but also hosting different experienced artists to share their talents and teachings as well.
I have a dog named Scorch. She is five years old and is very well mannered. She loves to meet people and has become a veteran of airbnb hosting. She loves attention as most dogs do but will understand if you tell her no.
I truly appreciate that Airbnb has become a way for me to continue in my artistic endeavors without having to sacrifice time to a conventional career.
I provide a home for travelers, as I am frequently one myself.
