The space

The apartment "Il Palmento" is a comfortable apartment consisting of a trullo with romantic alcove where the bed is welcomed, changing room and bathroom with shower striking the stone vault, living room with sofa bed for two and a funny angle cooking loss. Possibility of an extra bed in the master bedroom is a place where tradition, culture and environment meet: this is "Farm Estate Odegitria", an old farm consists of 10 apartments in the trulli. Recently restored according to the architectural original Odegitria Farm Estate offers guests a relaxing stay at the beautiful Martina Franca (Taranto) in the Valle d'Itria. Neighboring countries of Alberobello, Locorotondo, Cisternino and Ostuni. The farmhouse has a private swimming pool and provides service hotel or bed and breakfast is a starting point for the most beautiful sights of Puglia and the sandy shores of the Adriatic and Ionian. Keeping Odegitria was born from the desire of owners to revive the traditions of the past and a cultural and artistic heritage that bears witness to the simplicity and industriousness of the people of the place.

Fantastic place! And I would highly recommend it Just a couple negatives, which they are an easy fix. There was no AIr conditioning in the Trullo so being August we barely slept. The location is not easily accessible. If you do not have a GPS or your phone has no service, good luck getting there!

Would highly recommend. Great location if you are holidaying with a car. Stunning place, lovely restaurants a short drive away. Very peaceful

An unmatched setting nestled in the olive, grape and fruit groves of the Puglia region. Our stay at Trullo Palmento was picture perfect. Just outside of the city of Martina Franca you feel like you're getting the real and authentic Italian experience. Giovanni and Marie were the perfect hosts and went above and beyond arranging a cot for our infant daughter and pressing our clothes for the wedding we were attending. We only stayed four nights and I wish we could have stayed at least a week in this idyllic setting.

We really enjoy our stage in this Rbnb. The place is beautiful and the trullo was very clean and charming! The pool and the common places Thanks a lot to Giovanni and his family for their welcoming

The pool area is the best we have seen in five trips to Puglia in other trullis. With all depths of water, shallow steps and ample, quality shade we were able to stay and relax happily at the pool even with a toddler. The views of Locorotondo and Martina Franca are excellent. The accommodation is small but well considered so was fine for us. Cooking in the small kitchenette was fun, and the large fridge freezer and microwave made it practical to keep food - we ate at the trulli a lot. Giovanni and Anna Maria were very friendly, while not imposing themselves on us at all. Overall - highly recommended!

Delightful! A lovely welcoming family and a true Italian experience. Our stay of a week was filled with relaxing and visiting nearby towns and places of interest, topped off by a lovely dinner coooked by our hosts and shared with all the guests.. all local traditional fare. Highly recommended. Thank you Anna Maria, Giovanni and family for making us so welcome.

We went as a couple for an escape week in the Italian countryside. The location feels out in the sticks but is actually only 20 minutes into Martina. The Trulli houses are unique and quirky, the only downside are the small windows which limit light and ventilation, but as long as you go prepared for this they are fine. Tall people may find the arches a bit annoying! Limited cooking facilities mean you need to keep catering simple but it is fun to go back to basics. Car is totally essential so evening meals out with just the one alcoholic drink needs to be considered, as for some this will be a spoiler. The local towns offer a range although not a huge number of places to eat out. The pool and grounds are amazing, with plenty of places to sit and relax. The general ambience is VERY quiet which suited us but may not be to everyone's taste. Great for quiet book reading, sun bathing and quiet outdoor eating, but not a noisy place at all. Supermarkets are good but don't expect an ASDA range of stuff. Again, keep it simple and be flexible. Wayfinding is OK with GPS or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)Maps but the road signs are variable, and the labyrinth of rural lanes staggering! In the dark you will get lost if you don't know where you are going. Lanes are narrow and very bumpy. Given that a car is essential, my final bit of advice is that the local drivers are very fast, carefree and without much anticipation. No one indicates! We saw many people driving without seat belts, children on passengers laps in the front, drivers on their 'phones, and shockingly bad driving by UK standards. This coupled with roads without markings and variable signage means driving in the area is hairy at best but quite dangerous for a less experienced or younger driver. The towns are on a grid iron street pattern, so many more 90 degree cross roads than the UK, and there seems to be no real right of way. Giving way to the right seemed to work, but we had quite a few very near misses. You could easily get into an argument in the car, especially when trying to find your way in the heat! We got on OK but it's something that could become an issue if you don't drive confidently and carefully. Apart from this, a fantastic place to escape.
