This comfortable cabin is nestled in the mountains of Southern WV on the beautiful New River. Families have enjoyed this area for generations for fishing, boating, whitewater rafting, skiing , hunting and much more. It comes fully equipped with all of the creature comforts of home and has a huge wrap around screened in porch for sitting and enjoying the view. Only 1 1/2 miles from I64 you can be in Beckley, Hinton or Lewisburg in a matter of minutes for all of your shopping, dining, churches,

The space
Al's Place is located on a private road.
It is perfect for bike rides and quiet walks to the campground that is just a short walk away.
Al's also offers a private beach area.

In home amenities include: Propane grill, washer, dryer, dishwasher, water system, portable ice maker, regular coffee maker, etc etc

Other things to note
Airbnb has this home under “Farm” categories. It is not a farm or even near any farms. It is a Riverside property in a National Park. I would not want someone looking for a farm to be disappointed when they arrive. Also the fence that you see in the pictures is not fully enclosed. There is no gate at the entrance and it stops probably 50 ft from the water line on each side.

We are located within New River Gorge National Park, there are trout streams along with New River to fish at and 90,000 acres of public land all around for exploring. We are within a short driving distance to Winter Place Ski Resort, Tamarack, the Greenbrier Hotel, the world famous New River Gorge Bridge and many Golf Courses. We have Boat access to the river on the property. Make sure you also visit Sandstone General Store and eatery for some of the best home cooking you will find! Oh yeah and they do catering!! It is 2 miles from the house, you can get almost any of the basic essentials that you will need including souvenirs and a lot of local crafts. They have bait, Kayak Rentals and Fishing tours through New River Trophy Outfitters.

I have children in both West Virginia, (my home state) and Illinois (where I currently live) I own a home in the beautiful New River Gorge National Park and the edge of Shawnee National Forest in Illinois You could say, you can take the girl out of WV but you can’t take WV out of the girl. I love to travel so have actually done quite a bit of it over the last few years. I always migrate toward the ocean, the lakes, the RIVER “MY Happy Place"
