    The citys most famous cafe, opened in 1905 with a magnificent art nouveau decor. One of the intellectual who stopped by was Fernando Pessoa whose bronze statue stands amid the clients.

  • Elevador da Glória

    A Magical Hill Tour The Gloria elevator, in fact, is part of Lisbon’s public transportation system. It travels up and down a steep hill in the city. There are only two stops.
  • Armazéns do Chiado

    Re-opened in 1999 as a shopping mall, and while nostalgic locals miss the beautiful interior of the previous space, the truth is that its a magnet for the citys shopaholics.

  • Estação de Caminhos de Ferro do Rossio

    Travel by train from Sintra to Lisbon from Rossio Estacion in 40min. Its easy to mistaken this station for a palace. To the left of the building is a square with several cafés with outdoor seating.
  • Castelo de São Jorge

    Built in the mid-11th century, during the Moorish period, this fortification is situated in the area most difficult to access at the top of the hill. A fantastic view!
