Our home is located in the famous Mineral Farms subdivision, a quiet and hidden gem of Ouray. Scenes from the original "True Grit" film, starring John Wayne, were filmed in our community.
Our home is situated on about 1 acre that backs up to Mt. Hayden. We do live in a small community with several other homes within close proximity. We do ask that guests are mindful when staying at our home so as to not disturb our neighbors.
Both Lakes and the main road including the dam are community property and guests may walk around them freely.
Guests have been approached by neighbors in the past to verify their identity. This is a small tight knit community and our neighbors like to keep it safe and secure.

Very accurate description, and excellent communications. Even received an alert from Aaron about increased bear activity in the area. Our stay was phenomenal, I look forward to staying again. The house is very secluded but still close to town, and it truly is a separate paradise next to the lake.
Overall, awesome experience with the house and Aaron!
The house was exactly as described in the description and the view was absolutely amazing! It was very clean, cozy and quiet and Aaron definitely made us feel welcome. The neighbors were extremely friendly and always waved as they passed by, but there was plenty of privacy. I would highly recommend staying here and I'd love to visit again!
Aaron was extremely accommodating and a pleasure to work with. His place in Ouray was the perfect home for our long weekend - it's clean, spacious, and in such an idyllic location. Overall, our trip to Ouray was amazing, in large part due to Aaron and his great home - would love to stay here again someday.
Aaron was wonderful to work with and his cabin was perfect for our trip. It is about 7 minutes outside of town (in winter) so not too far from the city at all. The view and the additional quiet were well worth the drive. We would definitely stay here again!
The house was great. It was comfortable and clean. Great views, easy access to town but far enough away and quiet. I will definitely stay here again.

When I'm not flying as a pilot for SkyWest Airlines I enjoy vacationing at our homes in Maui, HI and Ouray,CO. My wife and I love the outdoors, especially fishing, camping and rock hounding.
