We had a great stay at Melissa's. She was happy to give us helpful advice concerning activities around Cape Cod. There was plenty of food provided for breakfast.
The room has moments of true charm, sort of like staying at your kooky aunt's house. Being the cape, it would rare to stay inside all-day, and Melissa's room was wholly comfortable for resting after long hours in the sun. It was a very casual experience, perhaps not best suited for the particular traveler, where doors remain unlocked and the house is occupied by residents. But for the area, especially where motels are twice the price, we were entirely happy with our stay.
The hostess was friendly and welcoming, the room was very comfortable, especially the memory foam mattress, and nice and clean.
she welcomed us by our arrival. The day before we left we bumped in to her and she asked if everything was okay.
After that we never spoke her again.
The location was beautiful.
Melissa was a great hostess. She was very personable and visited as needed. ( I always love to visit). Her room was spotless, comfortable nestled in the woods giving you the quiet and natural environment to take you away from the city. Filtered water is offered and very good. She is very centrally located and near the beach and city. She even accommodated my visiting niece from Vermont for my first night by letting her stay with me in my room. She was easy to arrange a check in time as my schedule was variable. She was easy to find and led you to your room by good signage. I could have slept all day the last day but had to check out for the next lucky guests. Thank you again! I would love to stay again if I make it our East in the future.
What a special place and wonderful hostess! The room was lovely, decorated in lovely soft sea colors. Melissa had everything a seashore traveler would need from toiletries to sunscreen and after sun skin treatments. She even provided beach towels! In the 3 desk drawers she had even organized all the local restaurant menus, local sights around Sandwich and then another drawer containing Cape Cod attractions. She knew we took milk in our coffee, so that was waiting for us in the frig! The location was secluded, yet just off the beat and path of 6A, with a town beach less than a half mile away. I would definitely stay again!
