Not much. Almost always available by phone or text.
We like the quiet at night. And we like the many birds, frog sounds and other wildlife.
Most visitors to Orcas arrive by ferry and car. Some fly in and rent a car. There is no bus to my place. I have had guests that arrive by bicycle! :)

Winterpond was a perfect escape. Beautiful views, great deck, excellent garden and a very well-equipped kitchen. I'd be happy to return!
This was a fantastic home and getaway for a couple of days. House is very spacious for two people and very clean - we have bad allergies to dust and were not bothered here at all. Nadine is a great host and a good communicator. The gardens and property are beautiful! Also this is close proximity to Doe Bay Resort, just a short drive away. Thank you!
What an absolutely fantastic experience. The house and its setting provide for the most peaceful, serene, and relaxing atmosphere that left my husband and I feeling more unplugged and at ease than we have in a very long time. Everything about the grounds and house is so well kept and clean. Nadine was such a helpful, thoughtful host, from the fresh cut flowers everywhere to the stocked kitchen for cooking. We had an amazing and unforgettable time in this little slice of heaven in the mountains.
Nadine's house in Olga is just wonderful. It's totally clean and very spacious with a beautiful, big garden. We enjoyed everything about our stay. :-)
Thank you so much for having us, Nadine!
Winterpond was wonderful. We were excited to have found a house so secluded and quiet, off the beaten path. The house is gorgeous and comfy, with a beautiful garden and more birds and butterflies than you can count. The pond is home to many frogs and dragonflies. There is a view of the Sound through the trees. Nadine's guesthouse gives much attention to detail and is the perfect getaway on Orcas Island.
This was our first Airbnb experience and we had a wonderful time. Naidine's house is as beautiful as the pictures, and she has a great eye for interior design. A highlight of our trip was sitting in the front around the fire pit and watching the sun go down. Thank you so much for sharing your home.
One of our best rental experiences yet! We truly loved the home. It was in the perfect location for us - quiet, away from the crowds, with beautiful gardens and lots of wildlife. We loved the interior design and the thoughtful touches such as putting local flowers in all the rooms of the house. The kitchen was well-supplied and we cooked delicious oysters on the bbq and had fun reading books next to the big windows throughout the house. We would love to return again for a full week.
