Not much. Almost always available by phone or text.
We like the quiet at night. And we like the many birds, frog sounds and other wildlife.
Most visitors to Orcas arrive by ferry and car. Some fly in and rent a car. There is no bus to my place. I have had guests that arrive by bicycle! :)

Guests need to recycle and compost. If no recycling/composting...take all of trash with you or pay extra $25.

4. Keep gates closed to keep deer out of garden.
We enjoyed a peaceful three nights in this lovely home, and wish we could have stayed longer. Fresh flowers from the garden, beautiful light, and birdsong helped frame our days in this fantastic house and Nadine was an excellent host.
The perfect place for a quiet vacation. Just wonderful all around. Nadine was very helpful, respectful of our privacy, and just as clear as you'd hope. We will come back!! And next time longer!
We had a lovely, relaxing stay on Orcas Island. The house is in a serene setting, off the beaten path, and though we had a great time exploring the island, staying at this house was one of our favorite parts of our vacation. Peaceful and quiet - we loved the deck and spent a lot of time just hanging out, reading, watching squirrels and birds and the water view. Love the simple design of the house and decor and enjoyed cooking in the well-outfitted kitchen. Thanks again!
House was beautiful. Grounds were immaculate. It's a hike to get there, but worth it. We'd love to come back someday!
This lovely home is hosted by a lovely person. I have worked for the Hilton hotels in the past and can state that her accommodations were five star. Water softners, comfy beds, and expert advice on local sites. This was a magical location and provided much beauty and rest. The sites brought me much peace and I would highly recommend this location to anyone seeking a way to reconnect with nature.
Winterpond was a perfect escape. Beautiful views, great deck, excellent garden and a very well-equipped kitchen. I'd be happy to return!
This was a fantastic home and getaway for a couple of days. House is very spacious for two people and very clean - we have bad allergies to dust and were not bothered here at all. Nadine is a great host and a good communicator. The gardens and property are beautiful! Also this is close proximity to Doe Bay Resort, just a short drive away. Thank you!
