Sam and David are really amaizing couple. we feel very at home when staying with this lovely family, this lovely music family. Sam and David shared their family members' songs with us, shared their stories with us. and we even had a live singing from David. Cheers, the beautiful night with these lovely people.
the next morning, Sam told us the places we shall go along the Great Ocean Road. we do appreciate and followed her instruction, and had a wonderful drive.
It is a very nice music family. Sam and her husband are really really friendly and easygoing. We used their vegetable and bought some meat for share dinner. They have a beautiful dog!
The four of us absolutely loved staying with Sam. Both Sam and her house were warm and inviting. She generously opened up her kitchen for us to cook breakfast each morning. As the description says there was a double bed in a private room and then she also set up a double mattress in a quiet living area. Both beds were very comfortable. It's a lovely old house with a beautiful dog and we hope to stay there again :-)
Situated in a great neighbourhood, Samantha was very welcoming and her home very pleasant. She has a wonderful family and took us in as if we were some of her own. We currently have just moved into an apartment in geelong and Samantha was very helpful in taking into consideration our situation having been house hunting during our stay. She extended her help even after our stay and we have remained in contact since.
After arriving late and getting caught in a thunderstorm we were graciously welcomed by Sam and Dave. As there were four of us, we were given a bedroom for one couple and a temp bed in one of the living rooms. These were more than adequate. A tremendous hour was then shared in their main living area, sharing the great music that some of their family have created. Off we went to our music festival night, along with the rest of the >14,000 in the biggest traffic jam. What took two hours to get to , only took 20 mins to return to about 11:00pm. Our beds were waiting when we got home. After a chat with Sam we had a very comfortable mattress in the living room. Thanks to Dave who returned from his night out as well as Liam and Siobhan for their quiet entrances so we weren't disturbed. Breakfast cooked by Sam, following our showers, was the best sustenance for the travelling day ahead. A very positive stay with promise of a return when we next come to Geelong. Thanks Sam and Dave for your hospitality and the extra knowledge of music shared.

Wonderful family person who has traveled 3/4 of the world with children and alone. Love to share others experiences and good times with those who appreciate fun in life. I am now working full time, but one teenager has left the nest. I have one spare room and more space to throw down an innerspring mattress that is super comfy and it would be wonderful to share with the young at heart or young family trying to discover my part of Australia on a budget!
I love having overseas visitors, and experienced many student stays from Japan,France, China and Germany. I have worked for the AIIU of Australia finishing in 2004 and hold a Working With Children's Card. My current position is working for the Department of Justice Victoria.
I am a young at mind 50 year old woman who has a friend in life and two children aged 20 & 21 living away from home. I am open minded and don't mind smokers (outside) and wine with meals. I am the best Sunday Roast Cooker in the World.... I also have a 10 year old Siberian Husky dog who is child friendly and mainly outside.
The things I like in life are sitting around the kitchen table sharing stories over a few drinks and great conversation, food and laughing.
Gardening,BBQ meals, reading, a clean home, my friendships and shopping for a bargain.
My family is music orientated with all the kids (including my partners children) all out playing live in our area. My lounge room (sitting room) is more of a music / recording studio.. Lots of fun.
Things I don't like - people that would not respect my home and belongings and people who are rude. People that would take advantage of my good nature. Guests that would be untidy - My motto in my home would be - If you make the mess - great! But you clean up the mess. lol.....
My ideal guest would be someone/family that would come into my home and feel at home. Feel that they could relax, make a cuppa or meal, when they felt like it. Throw on a load of washing and take a shower - feeling comfortable.
5 Things I can't live without - wow! Laughter, Food, Coffee, Good Wine and helping others.. then there is movies, live theater, books, animals and my Mum and Dad.
Being a guest at my home would mean that you would have a stress free, friendly experience. I have a bus stop 20 steps from the front door and 10 mins to the City. Also, 10 min bus ride to City Station - Gateway to all Ocean Road experiences and Melbourne City. Happy to help with travel timetables and arrangements. Small fee for pick up and drop off to Gull Bus (Tullamarine Airport Bus to Geelong)
