This hideaway was built on camera for an episode of Animal Planet's Treehouse Masters. Perched in trees just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, it's ideal for guests who would like to reconnect with nature, and it's a great home base for exploring the High Country. The space
Located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, this beautiful cabin is literally nestled in the trees. Built with special touches throughout, you may not want to leave this unique treasure once you get here. As you drive down the private drive you will feel the stress of daily life melt away. The treehouse is below the main house and has views of the vast forest surrounding you. Enjoy your breakfast on the back deck with total privacy from the outside world. Inside the cabin you will find a fully stocked kitchen and charming sitting area with comfortable futon that pulls out into an additional sleeping space. A comfortable queen-size bed is upstairs in the loft and surrounded by windows so you will wake up in the trees.
The treehouse uniquely features an outdoor shower and a composting toilet.

The treehouse is centrally located between Boone, West Jefferson, and Blowing Rock, all of which are 20-25 minutes away. Our immediate neighbors are the Cascades Waterfall and Appalachian State University's Dark Sky Observatory. The treehouse is surrounded by National Park property along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Whether you choose to stay put on the porch--enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountains--pursue fly fishing or paddling on the New River, or explore the charming downtowns of the High Country, the treehouse will be a great base camp.
