Breathtaking view and many sunsets.

The Space

You can have the place to yourselves.

100 m. square, 2 Bedrooms and 2 modern bathrooms, living room with sliding doors to a large open balcony (becomes part of the living room), an office space and the kitchen has a large white oak table enough for a whole family with friends, to sit at. Internet and cable TV included. There is also a Western Style washing machine included.

Please note that the swimming pool, gym, tennis courts and spas are not for free but can be accessed for a reasonable fee (i.e. swimming $1, gym $3.50, tennis $3 and massage $3). There is also a Western style supermarket filled with recognisable brand names. It´s all within the complex on the ground floor. There a driving range and 9 hole golf course - 5 minutes away.

Security is great and parking is in the basement and furthermore can give access to a safe to keep your valuables during your stay.

I can give pointers to where and what to do during your stay in Sai Gon as l have been living here for 3 years. 5 minutes (Phu My Hung) to many restaurants and 20 minutes to District 1 (the city centre). Its superb for a dream place away from home.

  • I recommend this flat in Saigon as you get all the facilities very easily downstairs, supermarket, shop to buy sim and phone card, restaurant, but what i prefer and it was really appreciate is the swimming pool and sport room !! The area is secure with friendly environment, you always find a taxi available downstairs with serious company Vinasun and this is really aprreciate as well !! Thanks to Mar for the last night tour and with this nice Japonese restaurant, hope to see you again on the next trip back.

  • Mar's apartment is conveniently located in a complex with a lovely pool, grocery store and some restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The lay-out was convenient for multiple guests, although the apartment was not really in best condition. In terms of location the place is great value for money - especially since being so high up it is free of mosquitos! And Mar was a very attentive and helpful host. We did enjoy our stay and had a great time in HCM City!

  • Nice clean spacious apartment in a good area with plenty of facilities nearby. My girlfriend and I felt very much at home there. Mar was very communicative and helpful throughout. Previous tenants had mentioned they wish they'd been able to meet Mar in person. I think in response to these comments, Mar decided to stop by and say hello shortly after our arrival. Unfortunately, despite his good intentions, his visit was badly timed and he caught us in the middle of something. My girlfriend hid in the bedroom while I answered the door feeling flustered. On our last day a relative/friend of Mar's let herself in to drop off a case, again we were not decent at the time. It's great that Mar has responded to feedback here on the site, however I'd suggest he fore warns people of any potential visits. Having met Mar, I've no doubt he'll read this and take appropriate action. Otherwise our stay here was a flawless experience. Highly recommended.

    Response from Mar:

    We had no idea. :(

  • I stayed in Mar's beautiful apartment for 10 days during April. The apartment is perfectly set-up with two good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. There is cooking facilities as well outside on one of the two balconies.

The apartment is on a high floor of a four building apartment complex and has stunning views out West towards Saigon city.

Being in District 7 it is a bit out of town but that was my preference - and District 1 is only a 6,000VND bus ride away from directly outside the apartment complex.

Within the complex there are a number of restaurants, a pool, gym, tennis courts and a super market - you could literally never leave the complex if you choose. I can throughly recommend Angels as the best of the complex restaurants - the owner and staff are super friendly and the food was always excellent.

Slightly further a field (about a 40,000VND taxi) on Bui Bang Doan Street that is loaded with excellent places to eat and another block further on is the Cresent Mall development that also has a number of slightly more upmarket restaurants to choose from.

All of this valuable information of course initially came from mar who from the moment I made an initial booking request through until the day I checked out Mar's communication was excellent. My only regret is that I didn't get to meet Mar in person.

Overall a great place to stay.

  • Had a great time at Mark's place. The view is great. There are many shops and restaurants at ground level to make your stay easy. Great pool and play area for the kids.

  • Great apartment - close to the city with various shops and restaurants right outside. Mar is an interesting and excellent host who was kind enough to show me around the city and make recommendations for where I should go and what I should see. Highly recommended.

  • Apartment presented well and was spotless. It is a little bit out of town but a bus leaves from directly outside the complex and costs 50 cents to Ben Thanh market.
Mark is a very personable bloke and was very flexible in meeting our requirements. Sorry we didn't get to meet him.
One minor niglge was that the cooking facilities are on the balcony off the kitchen and the wind made it difficult to get much heat out of the gas burner. Still there are plenty of reasonably priced restaurant options nearby offering free delivery.
    Would go back again.

  • We spent 3 weeks in Mar's wonderful apartment in District 7, Saigon.

Saigon is an amazing city, but we could not have lived in District 1 for 3 weeks as it is so crazy and busy!

Mar's apartment is only a 10 min drive to the centre of District 1; close to the action, but far enough away that you can relax. 5 mins away is the area of Phu My Hung, with lots of shops, restaurants, bars etc, including an upmarket mall.

The apartment itself is great, big open spaces, full kitchen (rare in Asia) and balconies with the most amazing view over the city. There is a large pool and good gym onsite, you have pay a little to use them ($1 for the pool, $3 for the gym). There are several restaurants within the complex and a good western supermarket which sells everything you could need. For those of you who are working whilst travelling, the internet connection is on of the best we've had in Asia and there is a dedicated "office" to work from.

Mar and his fiancee were the most welcoming couple, gave us loads of great tipson places to visit and eat, and were always onhand if we needed anything.

We would highly reccommend staying here.

About
Hi..travel used to be my dream as a kid, that dream has been fulfilled and am now settling down with my fiancée who has a home in the countryside out here from Sai Gon. I speak 2 languages fluently and then a blend of 4 other languages but non of them very well. Vietnamese is the more difficult one to muster and can cause confusion along with frustration if you try to speak it without getting the tone correct. I am sure, on a short term bases, living here you will need at some stage an interpretor, even if it´s only to tell the taxi driver the address your going to. You will always have my phone number on hand to help you if ever you get stuck, as l am sure you will. l lived in Lichfield, UK, Reykjavik, Iceland, Copenhagen, Denmark and now Sai Gon, Vietnam. I have lived here now for 3 years and love the place. Look forward to hearing from you. Mar
