Bernard was the best. He took us out one night to show us what Malacca is like after dark and we had a great time.
Our experience was excellent.
Bernard exceeded our expectations in every way.
I would highly recommend his place to any traveler.
The shortest trip with Mr.Bernard became the best and most memorible trip among whole travel. Even late night and early morning he picked up us and drived us famous attractions. He is not only a kind host but also the best guide.
Bernard was an excellent host, he took us around the town showed us the best places to eat and drink and stayed in contact the whole time. His place was clean with plenty of space and is in a perfect spot, down the street from some excellent tandoor and midnight dim sum and make sure you stop by Me and Mrs. Jones for some beers and live music, He even took the time to pick us up and drop us off from the bus station. If I were visiting Melaka again Bernard would be the person to contact, thank you so much for everything we all had an amazing time!!
Although a short stay, we were glad that we rented Bernard's property. It was right in the of the city we didnt have to drive at all. Bernard was very helpful and hospitable, and went all the way out to let us know the right food to eat in Malacca.
We stayed at Bernard's for only one night. On arriving at the bus station, Bernard's mum picked us up and took us to the house. The house was clean and not only were there clean towels for us to use but also new toothbrushes and soap.
There were 4 bicycles that we were able to use (they are quite old and rusty but work) which came in handy because the house, although being close to the centre, is still around 20 minutes walk away.
The beds were comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Bernard's mum was really accommodating and dropped us at our bus stop after the check out.
I would recommend the place to anyone staying in Malacca for more than a couple of days. For us, being there only one night, it was a bit too big and we didn't really make much use of the space or the clean kitchen.
Comfortable unit in a handy part of town. Close to many of the key areas of interest and some good eating spots close by. Bernard was a great host, going out of his way to meet us despite the late hour and gave us a personal tour the next day. Generous with his time and knowledge, Bernard certainly made our stay more enjoyable. The unit was well equipped with furnishings to make for a good stay, regardless of if you were staying for a day or two or longer. The bike's were put to good use getting out and exploring the sights of a charming and diverse city.
Bernard's place is lovely, complete with all amenities needed for us. House is maintained well and clean. All beds are very comfortable. Bernard is a tour guide by profession, so he have a huge collection of travel books which we enjoyed. Not to forget the collection of DVDs he have too. His mom was very nice, explained to us the place, and brought us around. She has a great smile! Although its just a night spent, all of us truly enjoyed the stay! Thanks Bernard.
Lovely place for a family and it is really close to Jonker walk, maybe 2 mins drive. There is a cafe just opposite with bakery and salon as well. The rooms are cosy and clean, I enjoy my stay in Bernard's listing. His mum met up with us and passed us the key as well as a short tour of the place. The best part of this place is that you can park your car in the listing so that you don't have to worry about parking space or putting carpark coupons :)
