We loved Casa Trogan! The view and the wildlife are amazing! It was lovely having a small private plunge pool too. Its only a short drive into town and nice to be in the hills with the gorgeous views!

This is an ideal location for those wanting to experience the Pura Vida culture, the wildlife, being away from it all, yet still close to beaches and conveniences! Agua Vista was our first stay in Costa Rica and Alex and Khalisa were incredible hosts with great suggestions for places to eat and explore! There is an incredible series of waterfalls you can swim in a short hike from the cabins! We went on the Isla Tortuga excursion for great snorkeling and lunch on the beach, as well as checked out the sunset and beaches at Santa Teresa! Nothing was too far from our wonderful stay in Agua Vista! We even spent a day or two just enjoying the beautiful infinity pool, marveling at the monkeys climbing in the cashew tree a few feet away, the hammock was great, and the view when you wake up of the ocean and colors of the sunrise are great! Could not have asked for a better stay or better hosts! Thank you Alex and Khalisa!

Wonderful place to stay! A 30 minute walk to town, but worth it for the view, pool and private, full-equipped bungalow. We would love to go back again some day.

So, stayed here for a bit of time and all i can say is that it was fabulous!! Gosh what a view! It was perfect for anyone who has to do work at the same time, being in the medical field this is super important to be able to have constant access to internet, etc...was doing some work in the area as well and they were so helpful in all the ways that an experienced host would be...directions etc. The most lovely thing about the place is that you have access to the falls and the grounds are utterly superb. For a single female traveller, you feel safe and secure knowing they are on property to handle any needs you might have. So all in all it was a 10 on 10 experience!!!

Our stay at Agua Vista was magical! We drove from Tambor and had an easy time finding it by following the signs. The extra touches were very nice, in addition to all of the wonderful amenities described in the listing (e.g., a packet of coffee for our first morning, washing machine in unit, local guide with maps, and spot on restaurant recommendations!) This location is ideal for Montezuma, where a pool and a shady spot is ideal during the afternoon heat, the beach is accessible via the road to town, and the jungle surrounding the casita is full of wildlife. Bonus: you can see the sunrise every morning from the master bed, and hear the tide coming in!

We really enjoyed our stay at Agua Vista. Alex and Khalida were very good hosts. They were very prompt and helpful in all communication before our arrival, and made us feel welcome when we got there. The entire property is beautiful and private. Casa Trogon was very comfortable, with a great outdoor dining and lounging space. We appreciated the hot water in the shower and the extra touches - fresh white sheets and towels, lovely wood furniture, and the flowers around the house on our arrival day. One of the highlights for us was the access to the river from the property. We had it mostly to ourselves both times we made the hike, and enjoyed checking out the various pools and mini falls. We had a motorcycle, and appreciated having it to get between Montezuma and the house. The paved road into town is steep and exposed to both sun and traffic. It's definitely walkable in distance, but is more pleasant in a vehicle of some kind. That said, the dirt road from the property to the main road is a nice walk for spotting monkeys and birds, especially in the morning and evening. Casa Trogon was a great place to conclude our Costa Rica trip. Between the pool, hammock and lounge chairs it was very easy to just be lazy and enjoy the last few days of vacation in a beautiful spot. Thank you Alex & Khalida!

This was a very beautiful property to stay at. A very comfortable outside area me and my two friends ate breakfast at, with a beautiful view of nature and animals. At night we enjoyed the hammock as well. It has the most amazing outdoor spacious shower that to me was the most memorable part of the house itself. The property has a nice back way access trail to the waterfall which is a great workout the walk back up. The owners picked us up from the bottom of the trail first night we arrived, and informed me of market days and other activities going on in the town. We opted out from getting a vehicle but personally I enjoyed the walk/run to and from the house. Beautiful pond, exotic tree's and up and close view of the Monkey's. I think we chose the best place to stay even without a car. I did ride a four wheeler to the house one day, which made me really appreciate the road to the house. The water was always warm and we could drink the water. Beautifully family and an amazing property I would stay in again.
