I speak fluent English and Spanish, and I love meeting new and exciting people. I am available to give you tips, advice, and to look after your needs in the apartment. I am friendly and easy going :)
We are lucky enough to live in a quiet area of the vibrant and colourful Realejo, that means that it is quiet in the flat, but at just 3 minutes walk you can enjoy the bubbly life in the neighbourhood: beautiful and comfy restaurants for vegetarians and vegans also, kebabs, bars, arabian tea and coffee shops, two Irish pubs that stay open till late, great tapas at the lovely beer gardens of "El campo del Príncipe", a beautiful 15 minutes walk to the Alhambra palace, the center of Modern languages that belongs to the University of Granada where people from all over the world come to learn Spanish and other languages, The Alhambra Theatre!! (three doors away, how exciting!). Besides, the neighborhood is artistic, there are intimate bars where you can enjoy live music, poetry, cine club and contemporary theatre performances just around the corner. Here in Realejo, you can see the murals on the neighborhood´s street walls by the artist "El niño de las pinturas" who has international fame: (URL HIDDEN) . You have also near other practical shops like pharmacies, supermarkets, special bread and vegetable shops, organic shop, stationery shops, general late shops and Chinese shops (bazaars where you can buy all sorts of practical things at very cheap price).
To arrive to the apartment:
Taxis are not expensive from Bus or train station, and it could be best option when bringing heavy luggage. From bus station which is further than the train station, it is aprox. 10-11 euros to get home on traffic time.
Taxi from Airport would be around 30 euros, but please double check before taking that journey with taxi.
Public transport as follows:
From bus station: Take Line SN1 at the bus station of Granada and get off at CATEDRAL. From there, there is a 10 minutes walk to home, or else, you can take from Plaza Isabel la Católica (a few steps away from Cathedral) the bus C3 that stops at the DOOR of the house. These changes can be done using the same bus ticket, which costs 1.20 Euros. Same ticket is valid when transferring buses within an hour.
The central lines C3, and C4, also bring you to the Alhambra.
From the train station: It is located off Avenida de la Constitución where you can take the LAC bus to the Cathedral and from there it is explained above.
The tickets for the LAC bus must be purchased at the machine at every LAC stop from the machine. You can connect with other buses with the same tickets within an hour of transferring buses.
From Airport: The ticket costs 3Euros. Take bus line Granada-Aeropuerto, The journey takes 40 minutes aprox until Gran Vía de Colón, get off at last stop of Gran Vía (Cathedral) and take the C3 bus in Isabel la Católica Square (three minutes walk, you can see a big statue of Queen Isabel from the Cathedral, there!) which stops at the Door of Apartment, or else just walk 10 min from Cathedral to the Apartment.
Other things to note
You can enjoy free Wifi, and you won´t need to worry about bringing towels and bedsheets, all that is looked after for you. I will wash them weekly if you stay more than a week.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms, two for guests which can accommodate 3 people in total and I stay in the third room.
Parking: There is a car park just opposite my door, it charges 12 euros every 24 hours, so your car can sleep nicely near you.
The only thing I expect from my guests is to look after the space with love and respect, and to avoid making loud noise at sleeping times.
There is a sheet with information about the apartment in every bedroom.
I can say that I am a very ecclectic girl... quite curious and with passion for learning things that I get interested in: healthy foods, spirituality, alternative medicines, shamanic cosmovision (I just came back from the Amazons, it was great!) but I can enjoy a few glasses of wine after hours, not all is about being extra healthy hehe.
Although I studied science (I am a pharmacist) I love different expressions of art which I have practiced in Ireland England and France: music, photography, writing and dancing. I dance argentinian tango which is highly enjoyable also here in Granada.
I really like sharing life experiences through chats and meeting people, if they share my passions is even more enjoyable!.
I am a very easy going person to share the apartment with, I am caring and sensitive to your needs, of friendly character, so I hope your stay in Granada will add the enjoyment of being well looked after in the apartment.
