Overall had a good stay. Since the two bedroom apartment is in the basement, the mobile phone network is weak, unless you step out in the patio. The WiFi is not great too. But what's really good is the food that's cooked- homely and tasty. The accessibility to m block market is the best thing about this place. Other than just a few issues, the place is wonderful and quiet.

Thank you for your honest and valuable feedback and your appreciation for stay and food. We understand that the mobile signal is weak in the lower ground which, but we have provided a free landline connection there as a back up. We have also provided a back up wifi, just in case as this too is a third party service we deliver. I wish you had brought the wi-fi situation into my knowledge when you were here, or when you encountered it first, and I would have surely found ways to fix it or provide an alternate. Same for the AC. We are here to ensure that we do what we can to make guests like you comfortable. And if something needs maintenance (as it can happen in any running home or apartment), we act immediately to fix them, just so long as we get to know about it. Thanks for writing back to me for coming back to stay with us next month. We would have love to have you again.

A comfortable, peaceful apartment, with space to spread out for a few people - I'd recommend it to anyone working in South Delhi that needs a good base, or place to work with colleagues.

The place looked amazing. Ekta was very prompt and helpful with the whole process. Mothu was the caretaker and took great care of us, helped us buy tea, milk and medicine. I was amazed by the hospitality.

We stayed at the flat for a month. We didn't meet Ekta, but she was responsive throughout. Our arrival was a bit strange – a flood in the bathroom meant that we were accommodated upstairs in another flat occupied by a man whose role was not clear. Had I been staying as a single female and not with my partner, I would have been very uncomfortable with this arrangement. The flat itself offers a good amount of private space. However, the building's plumbing isn't equipped to manage basement occupation. We had a couple of floods and a recurrent problem of the bathroom drain smelling like a public toilet. The geyser provided a maximum of 5 minutes of hot water and seemed to fluctuate day by day. The kitchen was functional, but – along with the flat as a whole – needs a deep clean. Due to damp, many of the utensils were mouldy and required scrubbing before use. The cupboards were bare on arrival – no basics (salt, oil) – so we had to buy these ourselves. The master bedroom is dark and rather cell-like (as is common in Delhi) – the internal window doesn't close properly, and given the marble decor and the acoustics, noise from the rest of the building was very disturbing. We shifted to the other room – more light, but disturbed by the loudest water pump I've ever heard. Ekta did intervene to ensure the pump was not switched on at 6.30am whenever possible. The bed/s are comfortable – good mattresses and quality bed linen. We enjoyed the location – a quiet residential street and an easy walk to M-Block market. With a bit of TLC and more personal attention to detail by the host company, this could be a great apartment.

Thankyou Anna for an honest feedback, although I wish you had shared some of this while you were staying with us for a month, so we could have addressed some of the issues right then. For eg, the arrival night, yes like you rightly described there was a contingency with the bathroom in your apartment and we accommodated you for that one night, on another floor of the same house, a room which is also listed on Airbnb. The gentleman in question, is a co-host, Chairman of the 'host company' (you have mentioned in the end) and a very respectable gentleman in the hospitality and tourism industry. We have had many a single women travelers here as guests and they have all had a lovely time. However, I do understand that these things can be individualistic, and if you found it strange, you should have expressed your concern then, and we would have gladly accommodated you elsewhere. It was done in the same house so you didnt have to commute again late night, the time you checked in. Your partner had nice conversations with him and was thankful to him for doing the best possible. He never mentioned even once about your discomfort. Infact they always exchanged pleasantries all through out your stay. So it did come as quite a surprise, your description of the 'man whose role wasnt clear.' I concede that we had the plumbing issue the night you checked in, and at one more point during your stay of One month, which we fixed within hours. It did need a deeper fixing, which we have already undertaken soon after you left (we avoided doing it while you were there to avoid any unnecessary hassle for you) so it doesnt re-occur for any future guest. The water pump too has been replaced, and I had made sure that it wasnt switched on, on ANY night or morning, the moment you told me about it. We dont keep oil etc in kitchen cupboards for long staying guests as everyone has their own choice of oils and the market is 5 mins walking distance. We do keep a welcome basket to take care of arrival time needs, and since you spent the first night on another floor, to ensure your comfort, we did serve complimentary dinner and breakfast the next morning. From the beginning, I had offered our housekeeper to spend extra hours on every visit to your apartment so you could get things done the way you wanted, but obviously we have still fallen short on your expectations, and we regret that. Wishing you all the best in your endeavours.
