Interaction with Guests
We are experienced hosts, and will try to accomodate our guest as well as we can. We will be available if needed at any time during the stay.
Right in the heart of the old part of Copenhagen is Christianshavn. It's called Venice of Scandinavia, a network of canals, charming houses, nice cafees, and restaurants, in fact the worlds best restaurant Noma is just a few minutes walk away.
Getting here from the airport is easy, just a short metro ride to the yacht. Though you are surrounded with public transport choices, even water busses, it's not really needed as you can literally walk to almost anything. Most of Copenhagens sights are within 15 minutes walking distance.
Other Things to Note
This listing is not easy to access for disabled people in a wheel chair. But most elderly will find it easy get on to.
Please respect the other boatowners, and lower the noise in the evening as it can appear as loud from the boats nearby.
Mikkel met us at the boat as arranged and made great efforts to see us settled in. He took time to explain the workings of the boat carefully and ensured we were comfortable with everything. He also spent time giving us detailed information about the area. He told us about shops, restaurants, places to go and things to see. Mikkel also made it clear that he was available at any time should there be any problems and texted us after a couple of days to check we were ok.
We loved being on the boat, it was a very nice space, well laid out, with all that we needed. Watching life on the canal from the deck was a favourite pastime.
The area was quiet, relaxed and very interesting. It was close to all the main tourist attractions and we were able to walk everywhere.
From the boat we could see the golden spire of The Church of Our Saviour with people walking up steps which spiraled around it. We did this ourselves and appreciated the great views at quite a scary height.
We would highly recommend this accommodation.
We stayed on Mikkel and Maja's yacht, Kanaljen for four wonderful nights. Mikkel was a big help in getting us settled in and our baggage stowed away. The boat was very roomy for the 2 of us. We slept quite comfortably with the windows open in the queen sized bed located aft in the "Captains Quarters". Since it was just the 2 of us we were able to utilize the front smaller bedroom as a dressing/baggage room. The restroom facilities were fine though remember that it is a boat! The Marina shower and toilets were just steps away and more than adequate. The salon was quite do my and comfortable and the 2 outside decks were great for just relaxing with a cold beer or a glass of wine while watching the canal traffic going by and enjoying the evening sun. The location in Christianhavn is terrific ... Walking distance to many attractions and a metro stop just a couple of blocks away. The neighborhood has an abundance of restaurants in a variety
of price ranges. We especially liked the Færge which Mikkel, had recommended, just across the small canal. Nothing fancy but friendly, unpretentious and excellent food and service. Copenhagen is very bicycle friendly and I would recommend renting one for your stay. Overall this was a most unique and extremely enjoyable way to experience Copenhagen. I highly recommend it!
Alt fungerede perfekt, rigtig god modtagelse.

Our stay in Copenhagen was fabulous! The yacht is in a great location near Christiana and the Street Food. Mikkel was excellent in communication and met us there when we arrived. The yacht is comfortable and gave us a unique experience we will never forget...I highly recommend it!
nice place makes you feel part of Copenhagen. Being close to a super nice bakery was awesome too and you are a short walk to the subway.
Merci !
