Overall Andrew's apartment was an excellent base for a great weekend in Dublin. Really good location that's easy to find and walking distance to most things. A few slight issues with cooking equipment and hot water running low (there was 6 of us), but would definitely recommend to others.
We had a great stay and would return.
Andrew's communication via email and instructions were perfect. We found the apartment easily and let ourselves in with the lockbox key. (A great idea other Airbnb owners should imitate.). The house instructions were clear.
The neighborhood was conveniently close to St. Stephen's Green and a comfortable walk to all of central Dublin -- the National Museums, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle etc.
My only suggestion for improvement would be to warn renters more specifically to avoid bringing a car. Street parking around Adelaide St. even when available, is expensive and limited to three hours in one space. Parking is available fairly close by at the Conrad, but it is more than three euros an hour. A 19 euro rate for 24 hours is available for hotel guests only, otherwise it costs almost 100 euros to leave the car a the Conrad for a day. (I was lucky enough to fumble my way through claiming to be a friend of a hotel guest to a friendly but skeptical desk clerk who validated my parking ticket at the 19 euro rate.)
We will advise others coming to stay in central Dublin to wait until leaving for other parts of Ireland to rent a car from an in- city rental agency. A car is essential outside Dublin, but unnecessary in the city and a real problem if on-street parking is your only option.
The apartment is ideally located and is spacious , comfortable and well equipped . Andrew gave us the power to leave luggage until noon . All was very correct.
We had a great long weekend in this apartment, the location was ideal with a 5 minute walk to the shops and some really good clubs. The apartment was clean and really good value for money, you had to be quick in the shower but definitely not something worth moaning about. The information about where to go was really useful and we would definitely stay in the apartment again should we return to the lovely city of Dublin. Thanks Andrew for being a great host.
The location is good, the flat was ok but our main reaction was not value for money. To be fair to Andrew, he was reactive to our queries but overall, probably because we were on a busy rugby week-end the cost was quite high, I was expecting a slightly bigger flat wih better quality of features for the price.
