The Space

This little trailer has been completely refurbished on the inside, making it a surprising gem! Private access through the driveway, full use of our large backyard where you can chit-chat with our six chickens while you relax. Our dog Mesa is super friendly (though her 'hello!' bark sounds different, she's a lover) and may want you to throw her ball...don't!! Unless you have several hours to spend on it :-)

The bathroom is super easy to get to and just inside the back door of the main house - don't worry, it's away from the bedrooms so you won't disturb anyone if you come in late! The shower does not have a bathtub, FYI.

Depending on the time of year, we have grapefruit, fig, cherry, plum, walnut, persimmon and lemon trees - you are more than welcome to munch on anything you can reach!

Coffee & tea provided - enjoy in the trailer, at your own private table outside, or in the backyard.

Space heater, fan, and plenty of books can be found in the trailer to contribute to your coziness.

Please note that by being a 'cozy' trailer, the double bed may not be comfortable for very tall folks - one guest at 5'10" said it was a perfect fit. If you're a side sleeper or spooner, it'll be no problem!

We do allow children, if they will fit in the bed with you. Sleeping on the floor is not advised, and we cannot accommodate for this.

**Please see our note about visiting with pets, listed in 'House Rules'**

Interaction with Guests

We are happy to answer questions and make your stay as comfortable as we can! We both work and aren't always around, but are always available to share our favorite spots to eat, wine taste, hear live music, watch a film, take in some incredible theater, or anything else you might want to do while you're visiting our glorious area. Most of these things can be found within walking distance. If you'd like to go further, we have bikes that you're welcome to borrow if they're available, or we can give you scenic-route driving directions.

We live in the main house and use the office (by bathroom) and back yard, so you might see us around*, but we are very respectful of your privacy and want you to enjoy your getaway to the fullest. Sometimes that means napping all day, sometimes it means being out & about! However you spend it, we hope you enjoy your time here.

*We love kids and have some of our own! They aren't always here, but if you'd like your kid-free quiet time guaranteed, please inquire when booking as the timing might not be right for that :-)

The Neighborhood

Located in the Olive Park neighborhood right by the Creek Trail. Tree-lined streets with lovely Victorian homes, with a park and playground nearby.

Easy walking or biking to so many things! Great restaurants ranging from Thai to taco trucks, high-end French to simple pub fare.

Hop on a bike and head over to the award-winning Russian River Brewing Company for beer that people line up for (they have great pizza, too), or just stroll down to the awesome Flying Goat coffee shop for a pick-me-up!

Getting Around

We are two and a half blocks from Railroad Square, a half-block from the creek trail/bike path (which extends from Santa Rosa to Sebastopol), are just off of both Hwy 101 & Hwy 12 and close to many bus stops.

Other Things to Note

This is not a rural setting, so while we've tried to make our back yard and your sleeping quarters as relaxing as we can, there are still city noises and traffic sounds from the nearby freeway.

Santa Rosa can get chilly at night - especially during the fall and winter months. The trailer has a space heater and we're happy to provide extra blankets, but please be aware that it has the potential to get nippy out there.

Finally, getting to the bathroom is easy but requires walking through our office/laundry room. Sometimes we are in there doing office-y or laundry-ish things, FYI

The City of Santa Rosa requires that we notify you of a required 9% Transient Occupancy Tax and a 3% SRTBIA Assessment of the rent. These fees are included in the listed nightly fee.

House Rules

We absolutely love pets, but given their furry nature they do require more cleaning. Because of this we ask that you count them as an Extra Guest when booking, which will add the additional pet fee. Thanks for understanding!

Smoking OUTSIDE ONLY, please. We appreciate you not leaving cig butts, etc lying around - the chickens will try to eat them!

We ask that you please be respectful in terms of noises, etc - the general rule is that 10pm - 8am is the loudness cutoff - Thank you!
