Amazing location. The apartments are very clean and comfortable. Tino was a great host... Best experience in Madrid. I recommend for sure.
Beautiful apartments in the heart of Madrid. The place is huge and consists of three distinct apartments. The one on the ground floor has a living room area as well to convene. Each apartment has its own shower/bathroom and kitchenette. Tino was lovely and he met us with free bottles of Spanish wines as it was New Years. The hosts do stay with you in the complex at the very top apartment but that is not a problem as they hallway is away from all the apartments and they keep themselves to themselves. Checkin and checkout was a breeze. Recommended.
We were made very welcome by Tino who met us on arrival. We were a party of eight attending a wedding so we took all three apartments and we found the location ideal for sightseeing and restaurants as recommended by Tino. The accomodation was perfect for our requirements .
The house is very well located and in a quiet area. There are 3 appartments, one is a duplex with 2 bathrooms, the 2 others are bedroom, with for each, kitchen and bathroom. Nice volume, but the only space to meet is the living room in the duplex having very small windows. One of the bedroom has no window at all and all what is said in the duplex can be heard from this bedroom... Kitchen is just adapted for drink and snacking.
Heating was a bit problematic, with leaks in one of the bedroom, and bad regulation in the others. The owners are living in the same house and are very supportive.
In conclusion, it is well fit for a group of friends who want to be independant.
Our house has three separate, independent apartments, as mentioned in the listing.
HEATING: The radiator which leaked on the first day the guests arrived was dealt with immediately and a space heater was provided for the guest's comfort. Given the fact that this situation happened over a long holiday weekend (puente), the leaking radiator was, of course, later repaired as soon as possible.
WINDOW: A wall of transparent glass windows are in the Patio apartment, i.e., a large window and also a floor to ceiling glass door leading to the adjacent patio. On the other side of the apartment there is a smaller window over the sculpture garden.
KITCHEN: Quiet and Large.Heart of Madrid offers guests use of three kitchens, all are fully equipped with utensils with cooking apparatus sufficient to prepare a full meal, as other guests have done to date.
Unfortunately, Mr. Caillon and the rest of his companions did not respect the House Rules. It was necessary to call their attention regarding smoking and abnormally loud talking, music, etc.
Thanks Rosalind and Tino. Wonderful location. We appreciated restaurant and sightseeing tips. Pilar from Lope Restaurant is a real gem!
The artwork was a neat bonus. Enjoyed perusing it.
Thanks for hosting us. We appreciated it.
Supernice Appartements in a really good neighbourhood. The rooms are like shown on the pictures and really cosy and clean. All important sightseeing hotspots are around. You can walk there easily. Tino and Rosalind are very nice people and are available for us at all time for every kind of question. We will come back!!
