Rosalind e Tino são pessoas muito gentis e nos deixaram totalmente à vontade. Fomos recebidos com muita cortesia, recebemos todas as explicações para uso das acomodações. Enfim, nos sentimos em casa.
Great location. The accommodations are quite spacious, and there is art. A lot of art.
Interested guests should note there is a door leading to two of the three apartments that inexplicably locks when it is shut (which people tend to do to protect their personal possessions). The hosts do not provide the key to this door and, when one of our group shut it accidentally, they were very patronizing and slow to address the problem.
Would recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind living with a host family that can be erratic. But anyone who is looking to stay somewhere where they can come and go as they please may want to look elsewhere.
Elizabeth seems to be a bit confused.
For the last seven years each of the three apartments in the building reserved for guests has a separate lock and key. Thus, permitting total security during the guest’s stay in our home. Additionally, as is often the case, Elizabeth’s group were the ONLY guests in the building, thus having exclusive use of the first two floors of the house. The door on the landing leading to two of the three apartments is NEVER locked, while the separate aparments are.
On the second occasion, Tino immediately left work, 50 kms. from Madrid, to attend to a situation considered to be caused by a lack of attention on Elizabeth’s part. Our contact numbers were not called( as registered on our phones). These numbers are on the Airbnb instructions for guests to access our building and were also given to the group in a meeting after the fifth member of the group arrived on the morning of July 8th.
We have hosted many groups (6-8 people) celebrating weddings, engagements, university seminars, etc through Airbnb and have never encountered such a lamentable situation as that shown by Elizabeth and her group.
Rosalind and Tino were fantastic hosts and the apartment was great. I was there with a party of 6 and we found the apartment to be comfortable and spacious. There was plenty of room for all of us and the apartment had everything we needed. It is also in a great area, very close to the metro and within easy walking distance to Plaza de Espana and Grand Via. Would highly recommend staying here and cant wait to come back.
James seemed to be articulate, considerate, attentive and very polite. We understand that it is sometimes quite difficult to oversee the actions of others in a group. Especially when one is together to "party". Although we might not agree on some points, it is important to observe a certain decorum when one is not in one's own, private home.
Sitting on the doorstep at the entrance to our building, eating on the street is not something, in our opinion, that should be done nor should we nor our personal guests be subjected at the entrance to our house to conversing with someone semi-nude and shoeless.
True,we do encourage our Airbnb guests to feel "at home". But at the same time, we trust that all will be respectful and exercise a certain decorum.
We are very appreciative of Manuels's review.
Manuela and her friends were a joy to be with. They often relaxed in the sitting room of the largest apartment and seemed to feel right at home. Seeing that our guests are enjoying our home as much as we do is quite rewarding and worth the effort that goes into our working with Airbnb.
Florence is so close to Madrid, we look forward to Manuela and her group returning to our city soon.
The hospitality of Rosalind and Tino was exceptionally welcoming. The three separate apartments with their own equipped ambiances are ideal for a group setting. The location is optimal as it is near to the city center while being a walking distance from literally anywhere who wants to explore Madrid. We had traveled with our three boys ages 14, 9, and 7 and we all had experience of a life time.
Yared, his wife and their family and friend, Theodros, were PERFECT Airbnb guests. Their ease and friendly personality was quite refreshing. Even though they group included three children, the cleanliness with which the apartments were left was exemplary and much appreciated on our part.
We definitely hope they decide to return to Madrid in the not-too-distant future.
Tino met us and explained details about apartment. Rosalind and Tino were very hospitable and gave us good insights to visiting madrid. They were also helpful in getting us airport transfer for our group of five with much luggage. Our stay was very enjoyable. Thank you Rosalind and Tino for a very memorable visit to Madrid.
