  • Staying in Rosalind & Tino's house was a great pleasure. They are kind and friendly people, always ready to help with what to see, where to eat, where to buy stuff, etc. They are artists and their house is interesting, tasteful, comfortable and you can see great pictures by Tino.
The neighborhood is safe. There are grocery stores and restaurants (especially a good pizzeria) and gift shops. It's also close to the center of Madrid.
We will definitely stay there again if we visit Madrid.

  • Although I am from Madrid, I stayed at Rosalind and Tinos with a group of friends that wanted to visit the city. The flat is fantastic and the hosts really nice and helpful. It is located right in the center of the city, which makes it ideal for sightseeing.

  • Rosalind and Tino are excellent hosts. They provided us with great tips for local restaurants in the neighborhood as well. The home itself is huge and in a great neighborhood. Very close to all of the attractions as well as several metro stops. Between the bars, clubs, restaurants and plazas, you couldn't ask for a better location. The best part is that you are sheltered from the masses of tourists. If you have a large group, this is the place to be. There are two small apartments and one large unit in the back which has two floors, plus a shared space downstairs that is decorated with many of Tino's pieces. Very cool vibe. We had 5 people in our group - one couple and three singles. You could easily fit more in the place as there are a couple of pull out beds in the back unit, which also has it's own lounge and is the largest of the three. Thanks so much Tino and Rosalind for making this a great stay!!

  • Tino and Rosalind's house is not exactly as billed. It is better by far! These wonderful, friendly, and modest people don't emphasize enough how great their location is for a fun, authentic and tourist free experience. The Malasana neighborhood is full of restaurants, bars and shops. The house is right in the middle of it all. It is also packed full of both Tino's and Rosalind's terrific art work. Both are ready to help with area information and make you feel like honored guests. The main attractions of Madrid are a few metro stops away or one can walk easily to them, through interesting and safe areas. The apartments (we had all three of them) have comfy beds, small kitchens and washing machines. The front can be noisy due to streams of partying locals, not due to traffic. Thanks to both Tino and Rosalind for helping to make our visit to Madrid very special and satisfying

  • Rosalind and Tino are gracious, responsive and accommodating hosts. Their apartment is clean, charming, spacious, and comfortable and Tino's art hangs on the walls throughout.

The apartment consists of three well-appointed private units that can accommodate several couples. Each unit has a private entrance, WiFi, bathroom - with a high-pressure shower, washer/dryer and kitchenette.

The apartment lies at the heart of Madrid's hip and centrally located Malasaña neighborhood, which is full of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.

Would definitely recommend to others as well as myself next time I'm in Madrid!

  • Rosalind and Tino preside over a quite breathtaking property: it somehow marries magnificence with domestic practicality. There were seven of us - three couples, and one other guy- visiting Madrid for a friend's wedding. Each couple got their own self-contained flat with bathroom in the house for this getaway weekend, and the seventh of us was also well served!

The house itself is a treasure-trove of art with superb communal spaces, a piano and a general sense of grandeur. I had booked the place, and its glory reflected on me in a most gratifying way: my friends now take me for an AirBnB guru. Not without justification in light of my having found this gem.

What's more- Rosalind and Tino couldn't have been more charming and kind. Bottles of wine laid out for us to drink upon arrival were just one of the generosities they lavished upon us.

In short: stay here, bring your friends, and make sure you act casual when they ask how you pulled off finding the place.

  • After a busy afternoon in Madrid nothing could be so inviting as to push open the massive wood doors and enter the cool and beautiful spaces that Tino and Rosalind created. I was taken with the hand selected antiques, large mirrors, the thick wood doors and of course the oil paintings by Tino.
Tino and Rosalind designed these three spacious apartments to be used either by themselves or as we did combined into one large living space. Their contemporary kitchens brought a modern touch to the timeless feel in the apartments.
Tino and Rosalind were very very helpful. Especially when I locked us out of one of the huge wood antique doors and poor Tino precariously climbed up from their sculpture garden and into a second story window in order to get that door open. Oh my gosh!
    They are great people!

    Response from Rosalind W. & Tino C.:

    Dear Megan,
Sonoma has traditionally represented one of the most cordial and elegant towns in California. Dr. Megan Burns, a Sonoma resident, and her family's stay was permeated with charm, elegance, and politeness. We thoroughly enjoyed their stay at our house and look forward to seeing them again soon. Of course, hopefully there won't be a humorous event to recount such as the one related to keys, locked doors, and scaling walls!!!

  • Wonderful location and great hosts!!! The apartment was perfect for the 6 of us! We each had our own private area and we enjoyed a large shared area to hang out in and plan our day. The location is perfect for exploring the popular tourist sites as well as the extremely friendly neighbourhoods of Chueca, San Bernardo and Universidad. The apartment also has nearby access to the metro for exploring neighbourhoods further afield. Rosalind and Tino are the finest hosts you could possibly imagine. They made it very comfortable and provided a lot of opportunities to participate in local events.

    Response from Rosalind W. & Tino C.:

    dear Michele,
Since London, your home base, is so close to Madrid, we expect to see you from time to time. Even in the winter Madrid enjoys penetrating, cozy sunshine..as opposed to the usual dreariness that you have in the UK.
We loved having all of you and especially loved the chat with your brother while we were waiting for everyone to arrive.
We look forward to see you and everyone else in the not-too.distant future.
    All the best,
    Rosalind and Tino
