Kathleen and Philip were so helpful to us when we are arrived. They gave us advice and support about eating out which is quite tricky when you arrive late and in the dark on a motorbike. We felt they were very attentive to our needs without being overbearing. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was a whopper and just what we needed to set us up for the day. Thank you.
Grannagh Castle House is a charming, cozy B&B serving a full Irish breakfast each morning. It is located just outside the city of Waterford making it a nice retreat. The Thatch Cottage Pub is located a minute walk next door, serving good food and drink. The host and hostess went out of their way to get me fish and chips and even drove me back into the city.
I had a lovely weekend at Grannagh. The location was great: right on the water, view of the castle, not too far into Waterford city. Hosts were really pleasant and helpful. Kathleen makes a wonderful breakfast and Phillip went out of his way to help me with directions to some of the local sites, even helping me out with a lift into town one night when I was stuck!
Many thanks :-)
Phil and Kathleen were lovely hosts. Very helpful in providing local knowledge and directions.
The castle-ruin-view from our room window was a delightful surprise.
Our room was comfortable, clean and wifi connectivity good.
Kathleen's full Irish breakfast is a grand way to start the day!
