Response from Lea And Sean:

I knew we were due for a Debbie Downer before we hit our 100th review.
I'm sure that Jenny did not read a lot of the notes on our listing before she booked with us -- inlcuding this particular one: *** If you're a high-maintenance person, this is probably not the space for you.***
My husband and I laughed at most of her comments. We also came to the conclusion that Jenny could be A LITTLE PRINCESS in disguise. She definitely should have stayed in place that charges $420/night instead of $420/week.

1. Cleaning - Did she really expect someone to come over every day for the amount she paid? Seriously how much mess/dirt can one person make.
2. Water bottles - Why didn't you just ask? We are not mind readers. I could have easily given bottles of water (on a silver plate of course).
3. Towels - This is clearly stated on our listing "Linens are changed after every guest (or on a weekly basis for weekly guests). If Jenny read this, she would have not been so disappointed. You don't ask, you don't get. Sorry, not sorry.
4. Trash - Huh? Even my daughter knows when/where to take trash. Sorry princess, not sorry. A hotel would have been a better option for Jenny.
5. Kids - My kids go to school - out most of the day. We live here - not in a prison. I don't apologize for my kids having fun. She doesn't have kids, so I don't expect her to understand it all. A hotel would have been a better option for Jenny.
6. Dog - We have an indoor dog, it doesn't mean she's not allowed outside for a few minutes each day. Newsflash: Dogs are trained to bark at strangers. A hotel would have been a better option for Jenny.
7. Rain shower - Thank you for the constructive criticism (I think). We don't shower there, now we know the shower head needs cleaning.
8. Make-up and Hair - Big deal...wait, for a princess - definitely!
9. Switches in the bathroom - Many guests try to fiddle with this thinking it's for a/c or vent. Our concern is that guests will make the room hot in an already warm sunny beautiful Burbank. Do as you please but our recommendation is that you don't because it's set on "auto". Who else would the heated floor be for if it's in the "guest" house.
10. Sink - If she read the listing properly and figured there is no kitchen (or extra sink) she would have come prepared. Or not be so grumpy.
11. Parking pass - AGAIN, if she read the listing or house rules she will know where to place the parking pass. In our mailbox or leave in guest house. This is not rocket (website hidden) - How am I suppose to know she was running out of toilet paper?! Is it so difficult, at this day and age, to send a text or email? You don't ask (nicely), you don't get.
13. Why I couldn't meet with her that night - I wasn't about to tell a guest that my husband is out of town, I am alone with 3 kids (busy with dinner, bath, bed time, etc.) I'm glad I don't easily delete text messages. I specifically asked if I can meet with her in the morning. She gave no objections or any sense of urgency.
14. Bug/spider - There's always a first. Although I didn't see them.
15. Tip - Leaving a tip was a "suggestion". Cleaning lady won't come unless I ask her to come. Not her fault that she didn't come to service Jenny everyday. I gave my cleaning lady extra tip since she said there was so much hair everywhere.

We've had guests stay with us for 2, 3, 4 weeks and not have nearly 1/5 of Jenny's complaints. I am reposting what is listed on our profile.

Interaction with Guests:
Minimal interaction with guests since guest house is detached with separate entrance. However, we are friendly and always available for our guests - to answer questions or fulfill some special requests. We like to give our guests privacy. Likewise, we ask that you do not intrude on our space/time. Let's be reasonable to each other.

Peace and One Love!
