Dear Karen, thank you very much for your review. For future guests: The "glass" market" in central Copenhagen that Karen talks about is called "Torvehallerne" and is right next to Nørreport metro station. I´d say it´s more expensive than supermarkets, but definately a great shopping experience just as you describe it.
Normally, fruit and vegetables in the nearby supermarket Netto are fresh as well, and the organic selection is good.
