Interaction with Guests
You have the entire apartment all to yourselves. I currently live in Berlin - so we will primarily be in touch via this platform and I´m happy to answer any questions you may have prior to your arrival. My apartment manager Zinaida is in charge of the apartment in Copenhagen and will be checking you in and helping you during your stay if you need anything. I will arrange your arrival with her. She lives right across the street!
We have flexible check-in and check-out times. If Zinaida is unable to meet you in the apartment at your arrival time, she will leave the keys for you at a designated place nearby.
Amagerbro is one of the up-and-coming neighbourhoods in Copenhagen, only a 8-minute metro ride from the bustling downtown district around central Nørreport and Kgs. Nytorv. The local streets are the home of our favourite cosy cafés and eateries, shopping opportunities and supermarkets. It´s alos a very child friendly area with a huge playground nearby, and a small playground in the yard of the apartment, too. The local library also offers activities for children and parents.
Visit the famous Christiania district on your way into the city centre, or and join the locals in a refreshing daily swim at the nearby Amager Beach a stroll away. We even continue the ritual when temperatures drop below freezing ☺ - that´s what I do when I´m in Copenhagen!
Also, check out both old and new community owned wind turbines visible from Amager strandpark.
Take a look at the newly updated guidebook here on airbnb to take a closer look at what´s nearby.
From the airport, you just take the metro (any line) and get off 8 minutes later at "Lergravsparken". Then, there´s only a few minutes to walk to the apartment. After the booking is confirmed, I provide you with a (website hidden) map with exact walking directions.
The metro runs every 3-8 minutes both day and night, and takes you into the city center in 8 minutes.
Right around the corner from the apartment, visible from the balcony, there´s a bus stop, with line 2A running every 5-8 minutes, also taking you into the city center.
There´s free parking in the street which is otherwise very costly in Copenhagen. The apartment is just outside the payment zone. Please note that you might have to look for a parking spot if you arrive late in the evening.
Copenhagen is amazing to explore by bicycle, and Copenhageners bike all year round (and in winter, the bike lane will be cleaned for snow before the car lanes!). So explore multi-lane bike paths with designated trafic lights! The bike shop nearby has just started renting out quality bikes, including lights and even a helmet, child seat or child trailer if need be! Book your bikes on (website hidden) and pick them up when you arrive.
If you want to plan your biking trip, try (website hidden). This is like (website hidden) maps, for bikes! It gives you the best biking route through town.
Other Things to Note

Kirsten was fantastic! She was easy to communicate with and was extremely helpful in answering my questions. She was very clear about where to pick up the keys (at the bakery) and even left us with a gift certificate to the bakery! The apartment was cozy, but spacious enough for our party of 6 (including 4 teenagers). It was well stocked and the information Kirsten left us about the apartment and the neighborhood was extremely helpful. We rented bikes and the 25 minute ride to the city center was easy. We've stayed at a lot of airbnbs, and this is one of my favorites.
L'appartement de Kirsten est très agréable en effet : metro et bus tout proches, très bien équipé, lumineux. je le conseille pour des courts ou des longs séjours. Enjoy. sl
Great host, very communicative and the apartment served us well. My parents travelled with us and they found it difficult to climb the 8 flights of stairs every day. I would recommend that this gets added to the listing, but otherwise it is very much as described. Thanks Kirsten.
Dear Will, I´m happy that you had a good time in Copenhagen - and I´m sorry if it wasn´t clear from the listing that it´s a rooftop apartment on the 5th floor with no elevator. My mother has difficulties with the stairs as well sometimes, so I´m well aware that this is a limitation which is important to be aware of. I´ll make that more explicit in the description listing. Best, Kirsten
A nice apartment very close to the city central by metro. Accomodating hosts that helped us get extra sets of keys when asked.
Everything went well as Kirsten had left everything in order for welcoming and accommodating us in her flat. The apartment was nicely located close to the metro and very convenient both for joining the centre and the airport (15 min each). Thanks also for all the instructions left to feel like home and useful tips to hang around (Nord Bakery is the best by the way!!). Definitely a good choice to discover Copenhagen as a group of friends or a family.
The apartment was charming and all as per Kristen's description. It was clean, tidy, with bed linen and a great sunset view over the neighbouring rooftops. If I went to CPH again I would try to stay at this apartment again. It provided a perfect base for getting into the central parts of CPH, to the local beach, as well as very quick access to the airport via the metro.
A wonderful apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of natural light, large kitchen and very tidy overall. Very easy to travel to/from airport and into central Copenhagen. Owner and local property manager both readily available when I had a question or two. Great experience!
About the Host, Kirsten
I'm passionate about renewable energy, I love languages and speak a lot of them, I love to laugh and do it a lot, and I love to be around people! I currently live in Berlin to work with the energy transition in Germany - so please enjoy Copenhagen for me too!
