We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay in Puy d'eveque. The historic house sits on a high perch above the river Lot with views of the ancient keep and church as well as the entire river valley. Our room looked out and walked out onto a large terrace where you can enjoy this view over a large meadow with wheat-like grasses and wildflowers. You feel like you are in the country (there is even a horse on the property) but you can walk into the medieval town with bars, restaurants, pharmacy, boulangerie, etc. Olivia and David were wonderful hosts. We especially enjoyed taking a meal with them which was the best dinner we ate while in France two weeks. They joined us and we talked for hours and also met their lovely family. The room is not luxurious but quite comfortable for four.
We had a splendid time in this part of France exploring many historic villages, castles and of course tasting the food and wine of the region. We booked a meal with Olivia one evening and it was superb from start to finish. Both David and Olivia conversed well in English making our evening most memorable. The village Puy L'Eveque where their home is situated is in itself beautifully set against the River Lot. We stayed six wonderful nights - highly recommended!
We spent a week staying with Olivia and her family. We would not hesitate in staying with them again as they were very good hosts.Olivia provided a lovely breakfast each morning and was very helpful in assisting us in our decisions on what to do and see around this incredibly beautiful area of France. The accommodation was spacious and clean and the view across Puy Léveque splendid.
We enjoyed this pleasant place in the Lot area.
Sitting on the large balcony at sunset with a glass of local wine
with a view over the landscape was unforgetable.

We had a very fast paced trip and there were a lot of places we only stayed one night. My iPhone map wouldn't fine the specific address for some reason but Olivia was very helpful. This one night stay we wanted so badly to stay longer. My husband and I traveled with another couple and we each got our own rooms. Each room even had the shower in the room. This was our first taste of an authentic French meal, which I recommend! It was delicious and even displayed so well. My first time having duck, a real treat. There was great conversation and history shared. They directed us to a market that we found the morning when we left, it was amazing thank you! We would love to come back and explore this area more. Thanks again!
We loved this interesting estate which deleloped over several centuries, showing the different architectural styles. THe home is spacious, quiet, and ideally located for exploring the attractions of the area. Our hosts were most gracious, accommodating, and hospitable. As we enjoyed a delicious evening meal with them and other guests, they were patient and gracious to translate so the conversation included us. Really enjoyed the delicious bread Olivia delivered to the breakfast table

Lovers of history, gastronomy and nature we have left Paris with our two daughters in 2008 to return to our roots in the southwest.
The ameillée chose us as successors of the previous owners, living in places since the beginning of its construction in 1720.
We love above all human relationships that are created in our business. Concerned with the comfort and well-being of our guests we really want them to share our lives in the south-west France.
