Description

The space

The flat is situated in one of the most up and coming areas of Glasgow, with new restaurants, cafes and galleries always popping up. So you won't have to go far to experience some of the best that Glasgow has to offer! From great new fish restaurants to the famous Ben Nevis pub (with live traditional music sessions and many whiskeys to sample) you could easily spend all your time only a few doors away from the flat. Kelvingrove Park is just around the corner and the Clyde river , SECC, Clyde Auditorium and the BBC are only a 5 minute walk away.

Of course if you would like to venture further than this then the flat is the perfect base from which to do so. Finnieston is located right between the city centre and the West End, with each being only a 15 minute walk away. However if you don't feel like walking (or if it's raining as it does from time to time in Glasgow!) the bus stop is only across the road. The Exhibition Centre train station is a 5 min walk away and the motorway a 2 minute drive. There is free parking a 3 min walk from the flat.

More about the flat...
Located right on the main street the flat is a traditional Glaswegian tenement with high ceilings and wooden floors throughout. The flat is warm and homely and comes with the loveliest neighbours in the city. You will have full access to the kitchen, lounge and bathroom. There is a good shower and hot water is always available. One of the most unique features of the flat is the large south facing roof terrace out the back. This is an amazing space in the spring / summer and on sunny days we often eat breakfast, lunch and dinner out here.

Short and long stays are welcome and the flat would suit tourists, professionals or short-term students (it is a 10 min walk through the park to the university). If you would like to know more don't hesitate to get in touch and I'd be happy to answer any questions.

House Rules

I don't have a huge list of rules other than the flat is non-smoking.
I would like you to feel at home here and so would like you to treat it as such.

Catherine is one of the loveliest hosts you will ever find. She welcomed me with a few little starter items for the fridge since I was staying for a few weeks whilst working. The flat was perfect for my needs. The bed was comfortable, there was a good amount of storage and it was very clean. It literally became my home away from home and nothing was too much trouble for my lovely host. I could t recommend Catherine or her flat more- particularly if you're working at the SECC as I was. It was an easy walk and in a. Rulkisnt location with gorgeous bars and restaurants outside your door. x

Kasia is pretty nice and warm. She made the flat neat and all the stuffs ready before I arrived. Also the communication between us was very good. Kasia is no wonder a great host. As for the flat itself, it is full of sense of art and is in a excellent location. All the places, including supermarkets, restaurants, bus and train stations, can be reached within 5 minutes walk. Additionally, as this flat is located in the west end of Glasgow, it's much safer than others. Strongly recommended.

It was a great stay at Catherine's place, she was really warm and accommodating and showed us everything that we needed. She also gave us great advice for places to visit in Glasgow given our very short time there. The room was spacious and had amenities like towels, Wifi, and a wardrobe and the bed was comfortable. Since it is situated on a main road it can get a little noisy with the traffic and people on the street but the bed was comfortable so it didn't really matter. The cats were also very cute and made our day.

Kasia was a very nice host, she did everything to make our stay pleasant, even if she had a lot of things to do. She answered fast and helped us with good tips. Her cats are very nice as well ;)

My friend and I loved staying at Catherine's. I had arrived a bit early while she was at work but she made sure I had keys and instructions on getting into the building. The kitties greeted me at the door as soon as I got in and Catherine had left us sweets in the room as a nice treat along with clean towels on the bed. Before arriving she also sent me a list of recommendations on things to do in the city. The flat is in a really cool neighborhood (like the Brooklyn of Glasgow in my opinion) with plenty of really good bars and restaurants on her block and the surrounding area and just about a mile and a half walk from center city. Unfortunately i had to rush out on my last day because of a last minute tour I booked but Catherine was extremely accommodating and open to a flexible check out. Thank you so much for everything and I hope to visit Glasgow again soon.

Catherine was a wonderful host and made us feel completely at home in her lovely apartment. We loved the area - heaps of great cafes and restaurants. Catherine was super helpful with directing us to her favourite spots, and they did not disappoint! Thanks for having us Catherine, Oscar and Bosco (the cats) we had a lovely time :)
