For Short lets, comes fully equipped, adjacent and overlooking beautiful park. Easy access to town centre by public transport.
While not a show flat, this space is my home, it is a quiet, comfortable place, adjacent to a large beautiful park. There is one good sized double bedroom, bathroom, hallway, plenty of cupboard space, a nice living room with galley kitchen and windows that look over the park. It is available while I am housesitting for another property the area. It comes fully furnished and equipped. I have tried to take as many pictures as possible to give you a genuine feel for the place.
Most amenities should be apparent in the photos - but please don't hesitate to ask.
You will have sole use of the whole flat and come and go as you please.
Interaction with Guests
I will be around for any problems as I work nearby and will pop in every Wednesday evening to water my plants. Subject to arrangement I will be able to meet you on arrival after work or during the daytime at weekends. If I am away or unavailable I have some great neighbours who will be able to let you in and welcome you. It's a really friendly building, if you want a real taste of authentic modern British life. The neighbours are French, Scottish, Brazilian, Polish, Thai and of course English, so we are quite international.
The Neighbourhood is called Cutteslowe and is on the north side of Oxford, above Summertown if you are looking at a map. It is a quiet residential area, predominantly working/middle class, but not at all rough. There is a local shop and post office and Doctor's surgery, as well as the beautiful park, which is huge, and great for running and relaxing. The nearest main shopping area (closer than the city centre) is Summertown, which has some great restaurants and bars and even a theatre.
Parking - Unfortunately, the council have just brought in a residents only parking zone to the area. If you are more than a few weeks you can get a residents permit - please speak to me about how to do this. I am afraid short stay guests will need to use the city's park and ride service - again please speak to me about the details of this.
Public transport in Oxford is really just buses. For this, it is a walk to the banbury road (about 8 minutes) where there are a large number of frequent buses into the city centre which can take between 10 and twenty minutes depending on traffic. There is a small bus that picks up from just outside but this isn't as frequent. Oxford really isn't that big. I have a bicycle available on request if I'm happy you are going to look after it!
Other Things to Note
I have tried to price the flat reasonably and the monthly rate is equivalent to the usual market rent for this property plus bills. Everything is included, utilities, wifi. etc There is a landline for incoming telephone calls only. I am really only looking for short term lets of a maximum of three months although if you want slightly more please discuss it with me.
This place is my home, I only ask that you look after it like you would the home of a friend or a guest in your own home. I would prefer smokers to smoke outside.
The apartment has absolutely all the necessary for short- and longterm stay. Location is wonderful - it is very quite place, about 5 - 7 minutes on foot to bus station, and about 25 minutes in total by the center of Oxford. Greg was really hospitable and unobtrusive lessor. Thanks, and best regards!
Greg was a great host, we were welcomed warmly at a time convenient to us. The flat was neat and comfortable very user-friendly. Greg was very obliging to our queries and requests and was very quick to respond. Highly recommended for short and longer-term stays. Thanks!!
Greg's flat was like my own home. It is nice, clean, tidy and warm. You need public transport for going to the city centre, but the bus stop is near and you can cycle too.
Greg was a a great host. We were received by her mom and she explained everything. We got a very detailed house manual. The flat is clean, confortable, suitable for families (My wife and 8 months baby stayed there for 10 days). The only inconvenient is that it is a little bit far from Oxford centre. However it is well contacted via bus (I suggest to by the bus travel card once you arrived to Oxford, it is sold at Debenhams in the Cenre)., and Summertown shops are very close. If you are traveling in the rainy season I suggest to bring an umbrella. I totally recommend Greg's flat as an affordable option for medium term accommodation at Oxford.
Highly recommended! It is a very comfortable Flat. Close to major bus routes, quiet at night. Well equipped kitchen, enjoyable living room and comfy bedroom. Very friendly host. Very good value for money in Oxford.
Lovely one-bed flat. Very very clean and tidy rooms. Next to a big park. Convenient communication to city centre. And great value too! Highly recommended.
Greg was the perfect host. Kind and considerate, prepared for every eventuality whilst also giving us the space we wanted.
The flat was clean, comfortable and functional.
