You're free to enjoy the whole place!

If you'd like to fold down the futon, just pull it forward a bit and pull the backs forward until you hear a click - then rest it down. It's super easy. When putting the backs upright, just pull backs up and they will click in place.

There are plenty of free hangers on the right side of the closet for hanging coats / clothes.

So many gems a very short walk from the apt!

Coffee:
Georges-André is my absolute favorite coffee shop just 3 blocks up Stuyvesant Avenue on Halsey. Huge sign - you can't miss it! Such beautiful fun vibes and amazing French house music - the owner Superfrench is so fun and makes the best crepes. Plus the coffee is wonderful of course. They have an $8 credit/debit card minimum so bring cash if you can - there's also an atm there.
Zabka coffee is also on Halsey a block away off Malcom X and there is another brand new cafe around the corner.

Restaurants:
Saraghina is a wonderful Italian restaurant with AMAZING PIZZA and such a lovely ambiance! Tip to avoid a long wait is go early for dinner or brunch, or between! When busy they have a smaller bar with tapas. They also have a separate bakery around the corner with amazing breads, cheeses and treats.

Chez Oskar has incredible brunch and amazing burgers.
Peaches Hot House has outstanding chicken & waffles.
Oaxaca Tacos is low key and has incredible tacos!!

Drinks:
Turtles All The Way down is THE BEST!! Cheap beers and fun games and loud rock & roll music!
Lunatico is also super close and they have amazing live jazz regularly! Very good food and fancy cocktails. Lovely date spot.
Manny's Wine Shop on Halsey has an amazing wine selection and sells great sakés too!

Groceries:
Halsey Traders Market is my go-to for organic groceries!
Key Foods is a bit closer to the apt 1 block away and a bit cheaper!
There are some great delis and bodegas up and down Stuyvesant.

If you need any more recs or have questions feel free to ask!

Hello! I'm a graphic designer, animator and writer who loves exploring the world. I grew up in Dallas, Texas and currently call Austin home. I spent 13 years living in NYC and have also lived in Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and Gais, Switzerland.

I first started using AirBnb in 2015 while living in Switzerland, booking stays in Paris, Berlin, Prague, Amsterdam, London, Salzburg, and several locations across Switzerland and Germany. I was fortunate enough to explore Bali and Australia in 2019, booking several beautiful stays! I've also enjoyed many wonderful stays here in the States in Texas, NY, LA, San Francisco, D.C. and Philadelphia. I have had the most positive experiences and love the site's philosophy. I very much enjoyed being an Airbnb host while living in NYC, and hope to host travelers again before long!

As a guest I'm very clean, quiet, respectful, friendly and courteous to neighbors.

Happy travels :)
