As this is our home you get to experience a little bit of what it's like in an Irish home, it is personal and we offer a wide range of facilities free of charge at the B&B. WiFi, tea/coffee, parking and we can also organize personalized walking trips of Dublin city for those who are interested. Dublin City University (DCU) , The HELIX, St. Pats Teaching College, Morton Stadium, Croke Park, Beaumont & Mater Hospitals & Omni Shopping Centre are all within 10 minutes of the B&B. There is a launderette across the street and some beautiful local parks to wander around.

Dublin is a city that everyone raves about. Displaced locals get all misty-eyed about the pubs, the craic, the hilarious, friendly people they left behind.
So make a detour down that side street, spend a few hours trailing through the parks and gardens, take your time in the museums, talk to people in the pubs, watch a hurling match, ride the DART out of town to Howth, Dalkey and Malahide, catch a play, or just sit on the Liffey boardwalk and let it all pass you by.

Whatever you decide to do, you can rest assured that at least one of the clichés about this city really is true: Dublin genuinely does have something for everyone.

  • It was an absolute pleasure to stay in Mary's home. Clean and comfortable room, everything in impeccable order. DCU within quick walking distance. Looking forward to staying there again in the coming weeks.

    Vielen lieben Dank nochmals! :-)

  • We stayed in Marys B&B for 3 nights and felt really comfortable. It is very easy to go by Bus to either Dublin City or the airport. Breakfast was lovely and Mary was very nice host!

  • We had a pleasant stay at Mary's tidy B&B. She is a very nice hostess and her 'full Irish breakfast' was a perfect start of the day! The WiFi didn't reach to the room which is a little inconvenient but other than that all was fine. We'd highly recommend her place for Dublin visitors. Thanks again, Mary!

  • Mary is a lifesaver! After a horrible stay at a local hostel, I emailed Mary asking and praying that she had a room available. Lucky for me she did! And it was a wonderful room too. Mary's B&B is a very nice and quiet oasis from the world. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice with constant water pressure and the water was always the perfect temperature. Her house is located very close to a lot of nice restaurants and a shopping center with a movie theater attached about 10 minute walking distance with many restaurants there. She is among quite a few bus routes and close enough for a quick bus or taxi ride to the city center but far enough out that it is very quite and relaxing. I was terrified of the bus systems though and was lucky enough to have Mary arrange a car to pick me up and take me to the airport! She's wonderful and very friendly! I would definitely recommend this place!

  • I stayed at Almanii with two other guests in July 2012 and our stay was an absolutely wonderful one! Mary is a very friendly host who is very knowledgeable about the city of Dublin and was able to give us some very helpful information about getting around the city via public transit, as we were not renting a car during our stay. Almanii is in a great location- it is out of the noise and bustle of the city but is extremely close to public transit stops that can easily take you into central Dublin (Temple Bar, Grafton Street, Trinity College/St. Stephen's Green, etc.) within minutes. Even if you don't have a vehicle, like my group, it was very easy to get to the attractions we wanted to. Almanii is also a quick, 10-minute drive to the airport, which is very convenient when arriving or departing. Almanii is very clean and well-kept; the continental breakfast served was just right for us to begin our day; there is also the option to pay for a hot breakfast meal, which we did not avail but saw other guests dining and it looked delicious. Our room, which had three beds, was just the right size to store all of our bags and had a very large bathroom; if you were planning on spending a lot of time in your room it might be a bit small but as a place just to sleep and refresh it was a fine size. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other travelers who are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay but don't want the noise or traffic of staying in the city center or a hostel.

  • My parents had a wonderful time at Mary’s B&B ! They particulary enjoyed the homy atmosphere. Mary was very flexible and extremely helpful. The B&B is very good located, it’s close to the airport and in a quiet neighbourhood. The room was very tidy, and the breakfast was lovely. Thank you Mary for having my parents at your wonderful place !

About
Hi there ! Well I introduce myself to lots of new people every day as I run a Bed and Breakfast in Dublin City. It keeps me very busy and I live here with my family and my wee dog :-). I get to meet people from all over the world and love exchanging stories and tit bits of info with those who wish to chat. In my spare time I like to keep fit, I teach self defence to adults and children which I love doing. So as you can see everything I do is based around people.....good job I like them :-). I enjoy a nice meal and cinema and love the outdoors. There are lots of nice places in Dublin city and the surrounding area where you can spend the day walking and exploring. Some lovely beaches too. My favorite walk is probably Howth head which is a small fishing village just on the outskirts of Dublin city - you can feed the seals here and enjoy the beautiful walk around Howth head. So that's a little about me. I would like to welcome you into my home and hope you enjoy your stay with us. Dublin is a fantastic city to visit :-)
