A charming family that did their best to make me feel welcome and comfortable
We enjoyed our stay tremendously, and felt very welcome at the house with Lena and her family. The apartment is spacious & comfortable with a nice big bathroom. Some upstairs activity is noticeable (being a basement), but it's not bad & we slept great every night! All in all, a great BnB that we recommend for everyone :)
Lena and her family made me feel very welcome. The accommodation was excellent, clean and spacious and exactly what I was looking for. Really enjoyed my stay and will come back when I am next in Anchorage.
The family is really friendly, the room is comfortable, and they helped me travel around. I enjoyed myself there. If you go to Anchorage, this is the place you should live.
It was perfect place to stay in Anchorage. Room was clean, washroom was well equipped and spacious. There's a little kitchen-like place, so no problem to cook your own meal and breakfast is offered. Everything was better than expected, probably will visit again when come to Anchorage later.
Great room! Super comfortable beds (my daughter kept trying to take one of the comforters because of how awesome it was) and TONS of space. The bathroom was larger than some hotel rooms I've stayed in. Even with a sick little one, the house was quieter than your average hotel, most of the time I didn't even know anyone was home. Personal climate control with baseboard heating in the room, so no worries about being cold because you're below ground level. The in-room television is DVD-only, but I'm not a TV fan, anyway, so that wasn't anywhere close to an issue, but I can see how some others might worry about it. My daughter loved the chance to feed the chickens, be sure to ask to see them. Very close to JBER if you're visiting someone stationed there (one of the gates is a mile and a half down the road, about three miles to the primary gate). I'll definitely be looking to stay again on future trips to see my daughter.
Very spacious and clean room and bathroom. Takes about 20 min to drive anywhere in town. Has a grocery store just down the road. Wonderful neighborhood to spend a few days in. There are a few parks around town that Lena's husband told us about with a great trail system to bike/hike/ski during the year, but you need a car to get to most of them from the house. Didn't actually meet Lena, but her husband is very nice and helpful with ideas on places to go visit.
