  • A pretty perfect place to rent for visitors! I just moved to DC and had my mom visiting. I live with too many people to host and enjoy some privacy. She was extremely happy with the place and it's is in a great location with access to public transport but lots also in walking distance. The room is cosy and amenities served well for her stay. Jenny was very friendly and welcoming! Thank you, we had such a lovely time!

  • I had a very pleasant stay in Jenny's apartment. It's nicely furnished and looking good. The area is residential, with both the metro and the welcoming Big Bear café at walking distance. Jenny was flexible with my changing travel plans. I certainly recommend this apartment.

  • I would stay here again. As advertised. You can rent a bicycle next door and ride to the national mall. We usually walked to the national mall, which took 30 minutes, but you get to see a lot of DC that way. We took a different street each time. The bus stop is in front and the subway is a few blocks away. There is parking on the street.

  • We stayed with Jenny for 4 days, and we enjoyed the stay. It was perfect with the private entrance, and the place was great and clean. There is just one little thing about the place. The up-stairs aircondition is very loud and noisy in the apartment downstairs, since this is where the furnace is located. But when it was off, there were no problems.
Jenny was helpful and made checking-in very easy.
We would recommend the apartment to others looking for at place to stay in DC.

  • My wife and I stayed at Jenny's during our trip to DC in September. Her place looks exactly the pictures, a cosy basement in a nice neighborhood. We spent most nites bringing home takeaways and indulge on American TV. We love the plush carpet in the living area which is very comfortable to walk on bare feet even in mid September. Since we are not fans of travelling with luggage full of dirty clothes the washer and drier really come in very very handy. Jenny is friendly and always makes sure that we have all the things we need in her apartment. All in all, it was a great experience considering this was our first time using BnB and we would recommend Jenny's place to anyone who likes to visit DC but not burn a hole in the pocket.

  • Place looks exactly as pictured. Air-conditioned, quiet, clean. Jenny even sent cleaners in the middle of our six-week stay.

The neighborhood was great--close to work for both me and my girlfriend, right next to a bike stop and multiple bus stops, yet secluded enough to be relatively quiet and calm.

Washer, dryer, dishwasher were huge convenience. I'd recommend without reservations. Jenny was also communicative, friendly, and available in case anything ever came up.

  • We had a fantastic stay in Jenny's apartment. Jenny was very accommodating and made checking in very easy. The apartment was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. It was in a good location, although the area around the metro station didn't seem that nice at night. We ended up getting cabs back most evenings which were really reasonable from the city centre. The apartment is only a few minutes walk from the metro station which is only a few stops from the city centre and the main sites.

  • Jenny was an amazing host And her place was perfect! Would recommend and definitely rent again!

  • A cosy appartment in a great neighbourhood. Jenny did everything she could to make me feel welcome and to ensure that I had everything I needed. I spent a month in Washington for work and the apartment was the perfect place to come back and relax after a long day. The kitchen had all that I needed to prepare simple meals and there was a large supermarket nearby for food shopping. In case you don't fancy cooking, there are some fantastic cafes and restaurants in the local area and it is only a two-stop metro ride to Chinatown/Gallery Place with its superb array of restaurants. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Welcome to my page! I'm delighted to have you visit. I am a Chicago transplant to DC. I love the city and can recommend excellent restaurants and hot spots that you won't find in guidebooks. When I'm not working as an attorney downtown, I enjoy cooking, yoga, music, rockclimbing or cycling, and spending time with friends and family. In 2011, I traveled to Barcelona, Beijing, Seoul, San Diego, Paris, New York, Ann Arbor, Chicago, and New Orleans. I've lived for extended periods of time in Africa, Eastern Europe, and South America. I know what it's like to need a relaxing respite. I also enjoy experiencing a new city just like people who actually live there rather than being a tourist. I'm hoping that you'll experience a warm and inviting stay at our apartment in DC!
