Enjoy a lovely sea view conveniently located only one and a half miles from Dingle. Take a three minute walk to a local beach and come back to enjoy a cup of tea on the patio or relax by the fire. One king bed in the main area and two single beds in a small low ceiling loft with steep stairs. There is a full kitchen open to the sleeping area.

The space

The studio has a lovely view from the kitchenette table of the sea and out to Skellig Michael. There is a king size comfortable bed and there are steep loft stairs to two single beds. The loft has a railing and is open to the room below and has a low ceiling. No small children under 5 please.

Guest access

Guests have their own private entry and use of the patio with table and chairs.
Things to do right from Beenbawn Cottage;
Stroll 3 minutes to beautiful Beenbawn Strand at the cove where “Fungie,” our resident dolphin, frolics daily. Howls of delight from Fungie watchers on boats will alert you to his activities.
Have a swim in the clear cool water or borrow some fishing tackle and try your hand at catching dinner.
A 30-meter pre-Christian ringfort is about a five-minute walk from the cottage off the boreen to Doonsean (Dún Síon). This national historic site has Ogham writing on lapidated oval stones from the storm beach at Minard. I will give you more historical information and directions once you are here.
Pack a picnic lunch and wander up to the top of Beenbawn head. Walk safely along the cliffs to the stone cairn at the peak for breath-taking views of Dingle Bay and passing fishing and sail boats. You can see across to the Beara Peninsula, Skellig Michael, and Valentia Island where the first transatlantic cable linked Europe to America. To the west is Eask Tower marking the entrance to Dingle Harbour.

Interaction with guests

I live on site in the attached bungalow. I am available for any visitor information that you may require and have many suggestions for interesting off the beaten path adventures. Beenbawn is so beautiful I want to share it. I have a horse drawn carriage business that guests can get a discount on when you book.

Other things to note

I have a friendly dog and one outside cat. I'm open to people bringing their dog on holiday as long as it is kept on lead if it chases cats or livestock. If you leave the dog in the studio while you go out no barkers please. I have a horse that I occasionally keep next to the house if I'm going to ride or drive her the next day. Please don't feed her without asking. You can get a discount with the horse drawn carriage business I own. The horse and carriage is in the driveway sometimes.

The loft stairs are steep so no small children please as I don't want them falling. Non crawling babies or kids 5 and up are fine. I work in the mornings so please be considerate of late night noise. Have fun and bring a happy attitude. If you bring your dog it must be pre approved by me. Please do not feed the horse (Molly) or enter her field unless you ask. It keeps everybody safe, especially her. Also do not let the cat in. Lots of people are allergic so don't contaminate the rental please. Beanie is very loved and well looked after and would be happy to be rubbed when he is outside. The Wi-Fi is data limited so please do not stream videos or download movies. Smoking is only allowed outside.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the place and the host Maureen! Upon arrival we were greeted by the most adorable and friendly dog. Our space was HUGE! The convenience of multiple beds was wonderful and the large bed was super comfortable! The kitchen was so convenient as we stayed multiple nights and got groceries throughout our stay! Maureen even provided bread, fruit, and apple pies for us for our stay! The ocean view is priceless. We couldn't have asked for a more serene place to get to wake up to. We were very lucky and had wonderful weather and beautiful skies during our stay. The house is only about a five minute drive to the main downtown Dingle area which was very convenient! Maureen also provided space heaters, dvds, books, music, a tv and an adorable reading area! I will absolutely be back to visit again and would recommend this location in a heart beat!

Maureen and her place were absolutely perfect. The location was gorgeous and we had no problem getting a taxi back after walking into town on a very rainy afternoon. The place had everything we needed and more. We would absolutely go back. Dingle and Maureen's place were definite highlights of our trip.

This is a great place to stay. A peaceful beautiful setting close to Dingle with a short walk to what feels like your own private beach. Maureen was very welcoming and gave us great advice on things to do while we were there. We especially enjoyed the Irish dancing and the Slea Head drive. We would definitely rebook this place!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Marueen's. She makes sure you have everything you need to make your stay enjoyable and provides recommendations in the area. Our cottage is really cute and clean with an amazing view of the sea when you step out. Wild Fuschias line the property and they are amazing. The beach is a 5 minute walk with wild flowers along the way. The beach also gives a an incredible view some island and you can hike through sea cliffs, farmer's fields, "castle" ruins and rocky beaches to get Dingle Harbor from the beach. We will be back. Thank you, Maureen. --- Reena and Jim.

Perfect Dingle escape. We loved the cozy apartment, plenty of space for three adults. Maureen had really good suggestions for what we shouldn't miss. The walk into town what jus lovely, and I wish I could do it everyday.

Maureen's cottage was beautiful, cozy and close to Dingle. It has every convenience a guest would want (and then some)! Her four legged babies are sweet and loving. The walk to the sea/beach was breath-taking and very short. If I am ever in Dingle again, I'll stay with Maureen! ❤️

Maureen User ProfileMaureen is a superhost.

I love to share interesting tips about Dingle and can give you lots of foodie recommendations as well as local activities. I have a dog named Teddy that welcomes everyone and one horse named Molly as well as an outdoor cat named Beanie. I have lived in the states and have travelled extensively. I like to explore diverse cultures and places as well as enjoy being in nature. I am a relaxed host but I like things neat and clean.
