A quiet, sunny double room in the heart of Keswick. Perfectly located for walking in the fells with great views of the surrounding mountains from the garden.
The house is located on the road leading in to Keswick town centre, one of the Lake District's main towns. Surrounded by mountains, guests have a huge selection of varying types of walks, from short strolls (accessible from the bottom of the garden) to day long hikes.
The bathroom and kitchen are both shared.
We can provide parking for one car.
Upon arrival we will hopefully be at home to greet you but if for any reason we are not, we will arrange a safe place for you to collect the keys.
Interaction with Guests
We respect your desire for privacy but are more than happy to sit down and have a few drinks together and provide you with some helpful tips about places to visit in the area and how to get there.
Keswick is a small town which is easy enough to walk around.
If you are arriving from Penrith train station, there is a regular bus service (every 30 minutes) that will drop you off at the bottom of our hill.
If you are coming by car we have excellent access to Penrith Road (A591).
No parties. No smoking in the house.
Very nice people, very helpful and friendly. The house is very clean and the bedroom perfect and bathroom perfect. They organised a breakfast like in a real b&b. Many thanks for everything!
My wife and I had an amazing time in Keswick! We enjoyed our stay with Sharon and David. It was fun meeting them and their kids. They were all very hospitable and welcoming. The Lake District is a beautiful place and we would definitely come back. Our room was clean and they provided a nice breakfast. It felt like we were at home. We would recommend staying with them!
Had a great stay with Sharon and David who are both very friendly, welcoming and helpful when it comes to navigating the local area. One morning David even very kindly dropped us off at the start of one of the walks which saved us taking the bus! The room was large, comfortable and very warm; in fact, the radiators made the room a tad too hot at times, but this was probably due to the unseasonably warm weather for November while we were there. The breakfast was more than adequate in size and nice and varied. The location of the house is also very convenient being just short walk into Keswick making everything easily accessible. One thing I would note is the bedroom faces one of the main roads leading into the town and there was a surprisingly high volume of traffic late at night and early in the morning which can be heard from the room. However, we were so tired from our long walks that we soon fell asleep! I would highly recommend a stay with Sharon and David for those who want a friendly and relaxed stay in Keswick.
We had a really lovely time in Keswick staying with Sharon and David. The room and whole house was lovely and we felt very welcome. We really enjoyed the conservatory and the amazingly set out breakfast. Sharon and David are such nice people and we enjoyed chatting with them. The location is good too, an easy walk into town and plenty to do. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to visit the lakes.
Fantastic place to stay. Very close to Keswick town centre and easy access to all the major roads. The room was exactly as described, very clean and very comfortable. My hosts were absolutely fabulous, friendly, informative and helpful. I can't thank them enough.
I had a wonderful time and if I am back in the area again, I would definitely like to stay here if possible.
Thank you again for everything.
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights. Sharon and David were very warm and welcoming hosts. They gave us much liberty to use their kitchen and other cosy corners. We greatly appreciate them spending time interacting with us and providing us information on the region. We chatted over dinner with them on one night and totally enjoyed it.
The bed is comfortable and the house is tastefully decorated, with a wonderful glass Observatory where you can sit in and while away time. Breakfast has a good spread everyday and Sharon always got them ready prior going to work. We highly recommend staying at Sharon's. :)
Sharon and her husband very helpful and room just so nice (can I say luxury XD, I mean it!) Definitely will stay with the guest room next time visit lack district!
I am an keen walker, enjoy socialising, cooking and yoga. My husband David and I have been living in Keswick, David being born here and myself for the last 40 years, we love the town and living in one of the most beautiful places in the UK.
