The space
COVID-19 Update: Both of your hosts have been fully vaccinated in 2021! We plan to continue with advanced cleaning and sanitization procedures recommended by Airbnb, CDC and local health authorities to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and other transmittable diseases. We provide a 24-hour buffer between reservations. We also ask each guest to allow us to take their temperature via no-touch infrared thermometer prior to entry. Guests showing elevated temperatures are asked to re-schedule their visit with us and we will make accommodations to do that (we recommend that you take your own temperature prior to traveling to our property to minimize the chance for a health cancellation). While moving in the house, we ask guests to wear a face mask. Your hosts will also wear face masks while interacting with guests in the house. We will not require masks outside of the house. We have hand sanitizer dispensers in each bathroom. Our homestead is limited to 5 guests in two rooms. Guests in the second rental room will have their own main entrance. Separated entrances, sleeping, bathroom, eating, seating and parking facilities are designated for each room which promote compliance with social distancing without restrictions on enjoying the property. We are a very good alternative to high density lodging options in Leelanau County.

Suite Description: The two-room suite includes a large bedroom with a King Bed and desk and an adjoining sitting room with a queen size sleeping sofa. There is a large closet between the two rooms. The suite has a private full bath between the two rooms with shower and tub. Both rooms have large picture windows overlooking the backyard garden and pond. The suite has a shared entrance from the driveway. Guests from the second rental room will enter this driveway door ONLY to use their private shower but will not negotiate the hallway to the suite. This hallway also serves the garage and your hosts will use it to get to their vehicle. There is a utility area outside the suite with a washer/dryer, microwave and refrigerator reserved only for suite guests. This utility room is where we serve breakfast for suite guests and we need access to that room every day. Suite guests can eat in their rooms, on the front porch, at the barn or on the paddock overlooking the lakes.

We ask each guest party to ALWAYS lock their entrances upon entering and leaving the house for the security of themselves and others in the homestead. Instructions for locking and unlocking the keypads will be provided upon initial property orientation.

Our check-in time is from 3:00 to 8:00. We ask guests to check-in before sunset so we can properly orient them to the property in daylight.

After building corporate careers and raising a family, your hosts, Elaine and Roger, decided to change everything and follow their personal dream... to build a decompressive and hospitable agricultural destination Up North in Michigan. Roger’s family roots are in the state and Elaine and Roger attended university together in Ann Arbor. They purchased a wooded property overlooking Lake Michigan and north Lake Leelanau and have spent the past 3 years transforming it into a farm and B&B. The views are spectacular, the plants are colorful and fragrant, the walking trails are peaceful, the sunsets are breathtaking. The farm highlights lavender products, herbs, Elaine's outstanding cooking and baking, logo souvenirs, and crafts inspired by surroundings. Most of these items can also be purchased online throughout the year. Elaine and Roger open their home to guests so they can enjoy the majestic beauty of the property. The B&B provides king size beds in large, quiet, and comfortable rooms. Elaine and Roger look forward to spending time with you online, on the terrace, in the market or in the B&B Homestead. Please contact us online or stop by in person May through October.
