About this listing
Separate entrance, bed, private bath, living room, porch 800 sq ft. I king bed in bedroom, futon and couch in living room. Indian River frontage. Small kitchen area with microwave, small refrigerator, toaster over, coffee maker. Watch the dolphins!
We are located on the Indian River. There is a large yard and a dock. You can walk along Indian River Drive, kayak, or take out a stand up paddle board. The space is one half of a walkout basement with bedroom, bath, living room, limited kitchen type area (see appliance list- you can cook if you are creative) and screen porch. 800 square feet plus the screen porch with the view pictured. This location is perfect for a visit to the Space Center. It is also fairly good access for the Canaveral National Seashore.
The entire area (this is a walkout basement) is available for the guests and it is separate so they do not have to share with the owners. There is one king bed in the bedroom and a futon and couch in the living room so up to 4 can sleep in the "apartment".
Interaction with Guests
Guests can have privacy or they can come upstairs to the upper deck if they wish to socialize. They may have company on the dock, but the screen porch is private.
The immediate neighborhood is a nice area for walking and bicyclists are everywhere. There is easy access to SR 528 and I 95. If you look at the map from Airbnb you can't tell that there are lots of trees and that is is a somewhat rural atmosphere. I would try (website hidden) Earth to get a feel for the area.
Public transit is on US 1, but it is a bit of a hike. The bus system does not provide terrific service. Plan on having you own car.
Other Things to Note
This setting is somewhat rural. It is almost an acre and there is a lot of vegetation. If you want marble and glass, this is not the place for you. If you want classic old Florida, this is the place for you. We live upstairs, so you will see us around and because you are downstairs, you will hear footsteps. We try to be quiet, but you can hear us.
Fabuleux!
Bleiben Sie mindestens zwei Tage!
Stay at least 2 nights!
It is a wonderful place, all clean and very much space and privacy. The sight at the river was great. (You can watch rocket launches from there) All was so welcoming and nice. The both hosts were so sweet an warmhearted also easy and relaxed. Who wouldn't there. Go there! :)
I can’t even begin to say enough wonderful things about this place!!! If you just took the room alone you have already won, the space is large and beautiful, but then you add in the great company of Eden and Victor and it moves to a whole other level. They were kind and courteous hosts that I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with.
Each leg of my journey around Florida, staying at airbnbs, has been a wonderful experience and then to finish it in Cocoa beach, sitting on the dock with Eden and Victor watching the fireworks on July 4th was the perfect way to end my trip. Thank you so much for making my stay an experience!
This is a peaceful and unique location just minutes from the main road. We loved watching the fish in the water and even saw a couple of porpoises.
Eden is a gracious and helpful host whose relaxed attitude immediately made us feel at home. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and perfectly equipped for a vacation. The coffee, juice, bagels and beer etc in the fridge were a generous gesture that was much appreciated.
We have no hesitation in recommending this property for a short or long stay and hope to be back ourselves one day.
We really enjoyed our stay at Eden's home. The room is rather an apartment than a room. It is very clean, hughe and gorgeous. The house has a direct access to the sea. Eden filled up the fridge with bagels and co for breakfast. She and her family are very nice and welcoming people. We felt home right away and we would recommend everyone to stay at their place.
Our hosts were very welcoming right from the start. They have a beautiful property and gave us a tour of the rental space and the waterfront area. The dock is a wonderful place to hang out and talk and is great to wake up early and watch the sunrise from. Eden and Vick gave us paddleboard lessons and allowed us to use some of their beach equipment. This was totally unexpected and super useful! They have an adorable and friendly little dog that was a nice addition to our stay. The kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living area are all very spacious and stocked with extra things you might need like soap, towels, and coffee. We got way more than we expected from out stay and would definitely recommend it for anyone that wants a comfortable and relaxing stay in the Cocoa area.
About the Host, Eden
I am a middle aged mom with a husband and an 18 year old son who is in college at UF. I work full time and so does my husband. We like living on the water and watching the dolphins and the manatees. The ospreys nest in the large pine tree in our neighbor's back yard, so you can watch them from the screen porch. We aren't very interested in the theme parks, but they are about 50 minutes away and it is an easy drive. We are 40 minutes from Orlando International Airport, and again, it is an easy drive. We are a good spot to stay if you want to go to the Kennedy Space Center. You can see the Vehicle Assembly Building from our dock.
