Serge was very nice and accommodating!! It was lovely to be in a true NY apartment for some time. Conveniently located if you want to hang around the east village!
My second time staying and it was as good as the first. I love the location of the apartment, it is in quiet street but close to everything you need, great restaurants, bars and even great coffee.
Serge made me feel very welcome and loved the welcoming flowers and wine. He is a considerate host and will be available when you need him.
I came to NYC with my parents for a week and we booked Sergio's apartment. Before arrival, he was extremely helpful with hints and tips on what to do and we felt very excited about the apartment.
Once we arrived, everything looked like the pictures. Perfect for 3 people and the although the flat is pretty small (which for New York probably is normal), it is perfect for a short vacation.
The best thing about the place is the neighborhood. There are so many awesome restaurants close by and it is easy to just walk up one block and find the citibike bike rental station. Shopping streets are also just a short walk away.
Additionally, I have to say that I was extremely impressed by how quite the apartment was. You don't think it gets ever quite in NYC but we could all sleep very well.
During our stay, Sergio helped us with a lot of additional information and even explained how I could order some things online and let them send to his address.
To finish this recommendation, I would absolutely stay at Sergio's place again and I can recommend this apartment to all people who would like to see what's it feels like to actually live in New York.
Sergio was a most gracious host and provided a beautiful space for us to spend the week. The apartment is true to the listing, although a little smaller than I'd imagined - probably because I'm just not used to NYC housing. The decor is lovely and the neighborhood is fabulous. So many choices of where to eat!
I loved the fact that we could open the window in the master bedroom and enjoy the gentle breeze. And because the apartment faces towards the rear of the building, it's quiet and even peaceful!
Because I care for my elderly parents...on my radar screen is mobility. This apartment is up 3 flights of stairs with no access to an elevator. Worked for us and helped keep us in shape. :)
An overall fun and wonderful experience!
Serge was the perfect host maintaining regular contact with us before and during the stay. The apt is brilliantly located in the thick of the East Village with many excellent bars and restaurants close by. We used Serge's recommendations for breakfast and dinner and all were excellent.
The apt itself is small but perfectly formed. Air conditioning was welcome during the very warm week we were in NY.
I would recommend staying here and hope to visit again before too long!
Sergio was a great host. He responded almost immediately with any questions I had before and during the stay. The apartment was clean and just as described. From the photos I thought there would be a bit more room in the kitchen but it wasn't that big of a deal because we didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment. The larger bedroom was very beautiful and had two large breezy windows (which were very nice because it was pretty hot our first day and the summer season starts in june so we didn't have the convenience of AC). We loved that Sergio provided nuts and coffee so on our first morning we didn't have to run out for coffee first thing. It was a great apartment and very centrally located. So many shops and restaurants/ cafes/ food markets nearby. It was ideal for graduation weekend. Thanks!
