We had a great time staying in this flat. Turns out it was the same building that friends had lived in previously. Tons of food options around and Sergio gave us great advice on where to go. There were 3 of us that stayed there (one couple and a friend) and each room is very private and comfortable. Check in/out was very easy.
Excellent communications from Sergio meant no concerns about what to do when we arrived. Apartment is in an old building so generally has a worn but characterful feel. It is small but as described. Lots of space for clothes. It is in a fantastic location. It was all clean inside including the shower room. It was surprisingly quiet. Third floor with narrow stairs so pack light if you can. Sergio's emailed recommendations are worth using. Air conditioning worked well and was essential in August. I would return again. Much more rewarding than staying in a hotel. Feel like a native New Yorker for a few days. It was expensive for the size of space but that's New York I guess.
The house is in the best location, there are a lot of bar near here. And the house is so special,I love it soooooo much. The landlord is so nice,I am so sorry I am check out late
Serge was very nice and accommodating!! It was lovely to be in a true NY apartment for some time. Conveniently located if you want to hang around the east village!
My second time staying and it was as good as the first. I love the location of the apartment, it is in quiet street but close to everything you need, great restaurants, bars and even great coffee.
Serge made me feel very welcome and loved the welcoming flowers and wine. He is a considerate host and will be available when you need him.
I came to NYC with my parents for a week and we booked Sergio's apartment. Before arrival, he was extremely helpful with hints and tips on what to do and we felt very excited about the apartment.
Once we arrived, everything looked like the pictures. Perfect for 3 people and the although the flat is pretty small (which for New York probably is normal), it is perfect for a short vacation.
The best thing about the place is the neighborhood. There are so many awesome restaurants close by and it is easy to just walk up one block and find the citibike bike rental station. Shopping streets are also just a short walk away.
Additionally, I have to say that I was extremely impressed by how quite the apartment was. You don't think it gets ever quite in NYC but we could all sleep very well.
During our stay, Sergio helped us with a lot of additional information and even explained how I could order some things online and let them send to his address.
To finish this recommendation, I would absolutely stay at Sergio's place again and I can recommend this apartment to all people who would like to see what's it feels like to actually live in New York.
Sergio was a most gracious host and provided a beautiful space for us to spend the week. The apartment is true to the listing, although a little smaller than I'd imagined - probably because I'm just not used to NYC housing. The decor is lovely and the neighborhood is fabulous. So many choices of where to eat!
I loved the fact that we could open the window in the master bedroom and enjoy the gentle breeze. And because the apartment faces towards the rear of the building, it's quiet and even peaceful!
Because I care for my elderly parents...on my radar screen is mobility. This apartment is up 3 flights of stairs with no access to an elevator. Worked for us and helped keep us in shape. :)
An overall fun and wonderful experience!
