You will be staying in my artist's loft in the heart of the Massachusetts Avenue Cultural District. There are over 10 bars and restaurants within a 2 block walk. Cute boutiques and shops are just steps from your door.
You get your choice of:
1 full-sized bed/private bedroom with double occupancy OR
1 bright & airy twin bed/ private bedroom that opens to the balcony
NOTE: This is my private home, so I am usually onsite in the evenings and sleep in the other bedroom. Whitney the mellow cat lives here as well. During the day, I am working in my art studio nearby but am close enough to attend to whatever may come up. If you require the entire condo for your party, please note that in your initial inquiry and I can quote you a separate fee.
Please view all the photos carefully--there are stairs! Some actually love this as it reminds them of past European trips. My Parisian guests laughed at me because there are so few steps compared to their flats. (Yipes!)
There is one bathroom (but Italian granite/tile makes it worth it!)
Breakfast (coffee, tea, baguette, yogurt/fruit parfaits-this varies)
Transport to and from the airport available
Starbucks across the street
Grocery store outside back door
The space is just under 1000 square feet
Clean linens and towels provided.
Parking space may be available, otherwise this is a perfect
place for those who don't need a car, I can usually
ferry you where you need to go--especially handy for conferences.
There may or may not be a cat on the premises, sometimes she likes to visit her country cousins.
Fantastic balcony cathedral views. Really. It's stunning at night.
I will be available most all the time for questions about Indy, locations, best bars & restaurants, etc. but I'm also savvy enough to know if you like your space. :)
Don't hesitate to use me for Indy info. I've lived here since 1989 and in this neighborhood since 1997.
Absolutely no smoking of any kind allowed. No swinging from the ceiling fans. Whew. That feels better now.
Krista made our very first Airbnb experience very enjoyable. This review is coming from the perspective of general manager of a small resort who is used to staying in hotel rooms. We wanted to try something different. We had the best of both worlds a hotel room and home. Krista made herself available for anything we needed and was very informative about the neighborhood. The location on Mass Ave was convenient and amazing it is a great area to stay. We will definitely stay with her again.
Great location, great space, lovely host! I met one of my girlfriends for a fun night out and we loved Krista's place. Walking distance to food, shopping and cocktails. Easy parking too. Best of all...everything smelled like Downy! We plan to stay again and highly recommend this Airbnb host/location.
We had a wonderful time at Krista's home. She was warm and welcoming! Krista patiently answered questions we had about the area and activities available. Our accommodations were comfortable, clean and inviting. She provided goodies for us and we truly felt at home. The location was excellent and central to getting around Indianapolis.
Great experience - Krista is the ideal host: engaging, knowledgeable and friendly. I would describe her space as warm and inviting. You couldn't ask for a better location. Not only is there a Starbucks and burger joint (Bru Burger, seriously go there!) across the street, but her space is central to all downtown Indy has to offer. I would recommend her and stay with her again in my future travels.
Krista is a delightful host. My flight arrived very late in the evening and Krista patiently waited for me till after the midnight and welcomed me outside the condo building and took me to a nearby parking lot for my car. Her condo is very clean and tastefully decorated. The neighborhood is super convenient, with restaurants and shops on the block and easy access to downtown. Even though we shared the condo and the bathroom and enjoyed our conversations, Krista never made me feel that I was intruding in her life or vice versa. I also appreciate having an opportunity to visit her studio downstairs, where she makes beautiful glass jewelry. Staying with Krista rather than at a cookie-cutter hotel that volleyball teams typically stay allowed me to experience some beautiful parts of Indy when I was not watching my daughter play at the tournament.
Krista warmly welcomed me and gave me a good impression and information on her neighborhood. I had a great night in her house and the trip was awesome in general. One more thing, her house was cleaner than any other AirBnB friends'
Krista is a warm and considerate host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. She took an interest in our travels and provided useful suggestions about the local area and wider district. Her home is very conveniently located and most of our downtown interests are within light walking distance. Parking is very easy as well. Make sure you check out the art and craft shop on the street immediately below and visit her jewelry workshop. We picked up some great gifts for friends and family back home.

I'm a full-time glass jewelry artist selling mostly to museums across the country. I travel often and far: in the past 3 years I've been to India, Ireland, France, Israel, Italy, Nicaragua and Spain. I love to host people in my home and when I have time, am a great cook, specializing in Thai cuisine.
