This freshly renovated, stylish one bedroom apartment is in the heart of East Melbourne on Hotham Street - one of Melbourne's finest addresses with a variety of stately mansions, beautiful terrace houses and stunning apartments. The apartment is mere minutes from Melbourne's CBD and major attractions. It's ideal for professionals working in the city or at one of the nearby hospitals, or those coming to Melbourne for special events... and it's all yours.

The apartment has a brand new kitchen with Bosch appliances (cooktop, oven, dishwasher), refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle, toaster. You'll find all cooking utensils, a dinner setting and cutlery. Dining table seats four.

The living room is spacious with big windows and access to a small, secure balcony. Comfy sofa (which converts to a large single or small double bed) sits near the big screen plasma TV and desk should you need to work. The large double bed is located in the bedroom along with ample clothing storage space. Air conditioning and heating is provided for your comfort (please note: fair use policy applies).

In the bathroom you'll find the washing machine, dryer, shower/bath and toilet. There's also an ironing board and iron. You'll love the big, white, soft and fluffy towels!

The apartment includes secure parking. Broadband wifi, local and STD calls are included at no extra cost (Use of illegal peer-to-peer or torrent download services is specifically prohibited). All utilities are included (fair-use policy applies to electricity so please don't run aircon or heating 7x24). Cleaning (clean, change linen, fresh towels) is available on-request (extra charge) either once or twice per week. Please note this apartment offers easy ground-floor access.
RESERVATIONS POLICY: Guests reserving this apartment may be checked into any one of our three apartments at 86 Hotham Street, East Melbourne. They are listed as (1), (2) and (3). All three apartments are in the same building, just along the hall from each other. All apartments are freshly renovated and offer the same standard of finish and features. If you wish for a specific apartment, please advise at time of booking.

We'll check you in (although self check-in is also available). We live nearby, so if issues arise we can usually drop around (unless we're off travelling). You can reach us easily and quickly by email (best) or telephone.

Other things to note

(1) We try to avoid gaps in our calendar. This means we can't always accept short bookings more than a few weeks in advance unless they follow-on from an existing booking or fill an otherwise vacant block. Check the calendar, and feel free to reach out with your requirements. We'll advise the best rate possible.

(2) Electricity, gas, water and internet broadband are included in the rate BUT SUBJECT TO FAIR USE by the guest. Electricity usage in excess of 14.5 kWh per day will incur an extra charge at the rate of AUD0.26 per kWh. Sufficient broadband is provided for normal usage (email, surfing, youtube, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) etc) but data-intensive use may result in the internet speed being shaped. Use of illegal peer-to-peer or torrent download services is specifically prohibited.

(1) Let us know if you have any questions. We'll provide whatever extra information you need and will be happy to assist with your arrival arrangements if needed.
(2) In the apartment you'll find a detailed property guide including helpful hints, location guide for shops/transport, and apartment inclusions. We'll email this to you on confirmation of your booking.
(3) The apartment is newly refurbished and looking great, so please take care of the property, fittings and furnishings. The guest is responsible for any loss or damage to the apartment and inclusions (other than reasonable wear and tear).
(4) The apartment will be spotlessly clean when you move in. As a courtesy to the next guest, we appreciate your assistance in keeping the apartment clean and tidy.
(5) Please do NOT use towels or bed linen to remove make-up or buff your shoes. We acknowledge some guests do this with their own towels/linen, but we like to provide sparkling white towels/linen and it takes a LOT of cleaning effort to remove make-up, shoe polish and other stains. If towels/linen are stained in this way, we reserve the right to make a security deposit claim covering professional cleaning or the replacement cost.
(5) Any problems whatsoever, contact us on one of the emergency numbers or email addresses provided in the apartment. We live nearby and will provide speedy service if we're around.

This was a lovely place to stay, the flat was fully equipped and dealing with Haydn was really easy. I recommend this place to stay for any trip you may have to Melbourne.

We were visiting Melbourne for the Boxing Day Test Match and found it to be the perfect location (it is only a few minutes walk to the MCG). The famed Fitzroy Gardens are also a stone's throw away. Public transport is very near and you can commute to and from the city with very ease. The apartment itself is nicely kept and very sufficient. Haydn was a very good host and ensured that we had no issues during our stay. Haydn was also kind enough to show us the neighborhood and take us to the nearest shopping center when we first arrived. Would recommend the place for people who want to be close to the CBD while staying in a suburb with a lot of character and culture.

Location location location!!! Lovely secure accommodation, very quiet in a stunning suburb of Melbourne. Walking distance to the CBD (through the beautiful Fitzroy gardens). Stayed in the apartment for 16 nights, this was my first AirBnb experience and it was marvelous. The apartment was comfy, great living room and the kitchen had everything you need to cook. For the cold winter days you have a heater in the bedroom and living room, it was more than enough. The location couldn't be better. East Melbourne is one of the nicest areas. Three mins walk for the tram, but if you walk 6-7 mins more you'll get into the free tram zone. Very calm suburb. Haydn was always there (via mobile phone or AirBnb), he even offered to to take care of my bags when I arrived to Melbourne. Definitely a great experience.

Haydn was a great host. Right from the time we booked the Apartment, he answered all our questions on, distance, things to do, getting there from the airport, etc... his communication with us was very helpful. When were booked the place we were looking for an apartment that was safe, clean, had the essential white goods and was within walking distance to the Australian Open.. and his apartment ticked all these boxes, the last one being the kicker - literally a 10min walk from the tennis arena or the MCG. Easy access to trains, trams and buses were a plus.
