There are two night buses which stop 10-15 minutes walk away.
A few minutes away from a lively, genuinely multicultural shopping area.
An abundance of restaurants providing the best of North and South Indian food and many others from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Iran and more.

Lovely yoga room for those who would like to practise yoga or meditation.
In good weather the garden is lovely to sit in.
When enquiring about the room, please add a few words about yourself and why you are coming to London.
It is best to enquire and WAIT FOR MY REPLY before booking. That way we can both avoid disappointments.
Although I put that check-in is flexible, do let me know when you enquire if you likely to arrive at unsocial or unusual times. I will do my best to accommodate your itinerary, but please understand this is my home, and I work both at home and in various other locations.
Teas and coffee are available for guests to make for yourself in the kitchen at any time.
There is space for guests to store food in the fridge, freezer and cupboard so you can cook your own food if you wish.
Please do not cook meat in the house.
There are plenty of books in the sitting room and on the landing, and boxes of leaflets of things to do, places to go, in and around London both in your room and in the kitchen. Large scale A-Z maps for your reference can help you plan your visit.
The only time the yoga room is out of bounds is when I am teaching in there. You could, of course, join the class.
In the summer the garden is great to sit in - there's a seat at the end, and rugs for the grass area.
Interaction with Guests
I live and work in the house, so generally I am available to answer any questions and give advice about transport, venues, etc. as required.
The kitchen has a good table for sitting at and chatting. It can be used for study, too, when not being used for food.
At other times I'll be busy or out of the house. so guests have the place to themselves.
Sometimes it's nice to share food, and who can resist a slice of bread still warm from the oven?
Truly multi-ethnic with tolerance and respect between different races and religions. A wealth of sights, smells and tastes every time you leave the house and yet very often the loudest sound is that of birds singing.
It is easy to get into central London, but my favourite round trip is much closer - a canal walk, cake and coffee overlooking the Olympic Stadium, walk along the Greenway, drop down into the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and stroll around the Wetlands, then up into Westfield for some retail therapy or a film.
Easy links with the District Line, the Hammersmith and City Line, the Central Line and the Jubilee Line.
There are two Overground routes within easy reach, a third only a few stops away.
Connection to the various DLR routes is likewise very straightforward.
Many buses are within a few minutes from the house going in many different directions, including to Canning Town and Stratford where connections to Central London can be picked up.
Other Things to Note
The rail lines and stations in London are constantly being worked on. This means that sometimes one or more routes is unavailable at the weekends. I will do my best to let you know if you are likely to be affected during the dates you wish to book, but you might like to check yourself as well.
No shoes upstairs, thank you. Slippers provided.
No shoes in the yoga room.
Please respect that this is a vegetarian household and dispose of any fish products as soon as possible by wrapping them and placing in the outside bin.
Please do not to cook meat in the house.
There are separate containers for disposing of paper, plastic bags, glass etc. All uncooked vegetable waste gets composted. Please do your bit for the environment and recycle as much as you can.
When there is a yoga class taking place in the house, please keep noise to a minimum.
Cryn is a friendly, easy going, person who has been very helpful throughout my stay. The house and facilities are clean, tidy and comfortable. The neighbourhood is in a well established area, is culturally diverse and has a good feel about it. The house location is quiet but within easy walking distance to train station, bus, local market and shopping areas. The train can take you directly into the city from the nearest station. The busses will take you any place or direction you want to go. It is a great place to stay.
We were welcomed warmly with a tour of the house, hot drinks and home-made biscuits. Cryn sat and talked with us whilst we unwound from a long day. The neighbourhood was friendly and surprisingly quiet, with very little traffic on the road. When we walked to find dinner we found the centre to be vibrant and lively, and enjoyed a fantastic Indian meal.
I stayed at Cryn's for 4 weeks and it was a perfect place to stay. The description of the room and the house are extremely accurate and both were very comfortable and quiet. The garden is beautiful, too! Cryn is very sweet, kind, and helpful. She is very good at making you feel comfortable. The house is about a 10 minute walk to a tube station that services 2 tube lines that hit all the major areas of London so it's perfect! Thank you Cryn!!
I had a lovely stay in Cryn's house. In fact, it was my first Airbnb experience and I could not wished for a better host. Cryn waited for me till late evening as my flight was delayed. She immediately made me feel welcome in her lovely home. I have stayed in the room facing the street and it was very quiet. I could use Cryn's kitchen and everything what was in it. Cryn also baked a bread and provided home made jam! Later during my stay Cryn made elderflower cordial and it was just like going back to my childhood. The room is very nice and quiet. In the room, there was a hair drier, many clothes hangers, large mirror and a very comfy bed. If you stay for longer as I did, you can use the washing machine and hang your clothes outside on the garden! During the summer there are many berries you can pick too! The house also benefits from its own yoga room! I have used the room on one occasion for a stretching after my run.
Cryn was not only a great host, but she was also very knowledgeable about everything we talked about! She has many funny stories from her travelling :)
I had to go for a business trip outside of UK and Cryn was very flexible at amending my booking.
I can highly recommend Cryn as a host and her home as a perfect place where to stay while in London.
Cryn was super nice and welcoming! She took me in last second as I had still not found a flat in London. She was super helpful with directions to good restaurants in the area and the tube stations that were near by. She was also nice enough to help me with my luggage to my new flat once I found one saving me the hassle of trying to get it on a bus. I would definitely stay with her again! Thanks Crynxx
I had a wonderful 3-week stay at Cryn's lovely home. The house and room were peaceful and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here. It's an easy walk to the tube station, with grocery stores close by, and Cryn is a wonderful host, kind and welcoming (and her homemade bread is delicious!). I look forward to visiting again soon!
Thank you Cryn, for your hospitality! Your were very kind and helpful.
The descriptions were accurate, the neighbourhood interesting, and Cryn is a good host. The house is comfortable and easy to be in, which helps when you are working in a strange place. I would be very happy to recommend Cryn to anyone else.

About the Host, Cryn
My time is divided between Yoga, gardening and occasionally making theatrical costumes and other clothes. Trips to the countryside and abroad and visits to an extensive family keep me busy too.
Sharing my house and garden with visitors to London is a great pleasure.
