We had a great stay, no dramas getting the key to the apartment. The apartment is exactly like it is in the picture. It was exactly what we were looking for in the right location. Emily was extremely prompt with communication.
We had a great stay in NYC, and the apartment was exactly as described. The location was great and perfect for walking, running, bicycling and likewise (and very close to Staten Island ferry etc.) It was as well pretty close to (our favorite food store) Whole Foods Market at 270 Greenwich St. The communication Metro etc. was in short walking distance, and plenty of taxis were circling in the area. The correspondence with the Emily was fast, and we got all the information we needed. We can gladly recommend Emily and her flat at lower Manhattan!
The location of the apartment is absolutely stunning, you have a great view over the Hudson River, the neighbourhood is very safe and not too loud at night. We never met our host, but communication via email was quite easy. There wasn't any toilet paper when we arrived and we also couldn't find a bed sheet for the fold out couch so I had to use the blanket as one. I also had to use one of the towels as a pillow because there weren't any pillow cases for the extra pillows. All in all we had a wonderful time staying here, but there were a few issues that were unexpected as we did pay about 150€ a night.
I'm so surprised you didn't contact me to let me know that you couldn't find the extra linens as they were certainly there the whole time. I'm sure your stay would have been 100% positive had you simply asked where they are kept as all of our guests have been entirely thrilled with the accommodations.
I'm so sorry you didn't communicate this when you arrived.
This is our 2nd time staying 3 weeks in Karen's apartment. It is spacious, clean and has an amazing view of the Hudson and the North cove Marina. The general area is beautiful and very safe and a great place to relax. It is only minutes away from the 9/11 memorial and museum, a very special place to visit. The subway and buses are very close by and get you to any part of the city. We really enjoyed our visit here and never had any problems. Emily is very prompt when answering any e-mails. We would really recommend this apartment, you definitely won't be disappointed.
I had a good experience at Karen's studio. The view is fantastic letting us feel the New York vibe all the time. It is also near a pedestrian lane where it is easy to do some training by running or renting a bike. Plus it is right by the Hudson river! I have heard no sounds from the other appartments. The security service is great and efficient.
This studio apartment is exactly as shown, the host have me details I asked for about how to get there from JFK buy subway. The location is marvellous and we enjoyed our stay. The building is showing its age a bit, but everything is clean and works. Thank you Karen and Emily.
