Interaction with Guests
We are delighted to talk to any prospective guest, in English, Spanish or Greek! We will provide helpful information on how to get to San Miguel, and will leave a complete information booklet.
The neighborhood of Los Balcones is very special, all designed by a International famed architect from Guadalajara. This provides a pleasant and cohesive atmosphere to Los Balcones, with it's plaza and fountain and amphitheater! In a short walk and you are at the Botanical Garden, or a short 15-20 walk you are in the "Centro Historical" or the center of San Miguel
Taxi's are very very reasonable in San Miguel and the best way to get around. Or if you bring your own car you can drive to the "Centro" and park and walk the town, and drive back up to Los Balcones at the end of the day!

What a magical and wonderful visit. Our host's home was truly a piece of art. The house was beautifully designed and tastefully decorated. All the comforts of home were provided in a graceful caring setting. Poloma the housekeeper took care of our need twice a week and Jaime the Gardner kept the yards, fountains, and gardens in perfect condition.
The home is located in Los Balcones a lovely neighborhood perched on the hillside overlooking the town. Mostly new or beautifully renovated homes are found here and the neighborhood has a sophisticated, safe feel with commanding views of the city and countryside.
The home was fully equipped and had all the creature comforts one would want. The Internet, cable and phone service made it easy to feel connected to the rest of the world whenever the need arose.
The hosts Michael and Hara are a delightful couple who made the transaction easy and interesting. We highly and without qualification recommend their beautiful home as a magical getaway. You will not be disappointed.
We enjoyed our visit to San Miguel and thought Casa Los Balcones was beautiful and the interior design was colorful and in good taste. The house served our purposes well, especially since we needed three separate beds. The house was clean and the view from the balcony was spectacular. Climbing up the hill from the Centro proved to be quite a physical challenge, but after two weeks at the 6400' altitude we got used to it. Also, taking taxis on most nights was very easy and quite reasonable. So many great people in San Miguel...both the locals and the ex-pats.
