Ballyglunin Park is a 15,000 sq ft manor on 33 private acres in Galway, reopened after a 3-year restoration. Seven bedrooms, six en-suite baths plus two half baths, the Abbert River, forest walks, and a walled garden — the entire estate exclusively yours. Perfect for family gatherings, golf trips, or retreats. 25 min from Galway City, 50 from Shannon Airport.

The space
Discover the luxury of a historic Irish manor house that's genuinely comfortable to live in.

Established in 1680 by the Blake family, the house blends Georgian grandeur and Victorian character with modern comforts: room-by-room temperature controls, fiber internet and fast WiFi throughout, and built-in USB charging in every bedroom.

The formal dining room seats all fourteen guests. The library and drawing room overlook the river — made for slow evenings by the fire. The modern kitchen has an Aga 6-burner stove, wine fridge, dishwasher, and everything you need for self-catering. Outside, trails through the estate's own forest (planted 1847) begin at the front door, passing a hidden waterfall along the Abbert River.

Guest access
You have the entire main house (excluding basement service areas) and all 33 acres to yourselves. Alan, our caretaker, lives in a separate cottage behind the manor with his own entrance. He'll welcome you at check-in and is on hand throughout your stay — and happily invisible when you don't need him. Guests mention him in nearly every review.

• Sleeps a maximum of 14 guests
• Self-catering, with help on hand: we can arrange a private chef, grocery pre-stocking before arrival, whiskey tastings, fishing charters, guided Wild Atlantic Way day trips, and airport transfers
• Rates include all electricity and heating. Irish VAT of 13.5% is added at booking
• Strictly no parties or events. Only registered guests may be on the property
• Later check-in for international arrivals can usually be arranged — just ask
