Bright, welcoming cottage by a sandy beach with crystal clear water. The 65 m2 cottage is situated in an idyllic summer house area right on lake Vättern with proximity to the center of Motala and with forests a stones throw away. Take your breakfast tray to the beach, eat in in the spacious conservatory or serve it in the garden. If it is chilly you can light a fire and enjoy the panoramic view of Varamoviken. (SUP-rental can be arranged – contact host.)

The space
Just outside Motala, directly on the beach of Varamoviken in the Kärsby area lies this gem of Lake Vättern. In the summer, watersports may be the most obvious, but in short driving distance you can find many attractions. If you don’t wish to leave the area there are plenty of beautiful walking paths, and why not pick blueberries for a pie, just a few hundred meters from the cottage? Or maybe just sit on the beach and enjoy the sunset? If you are a windsurfer, spring and fall are probably the most ultimate time to be here, but even our summer may be quite windy sometimes.
The garden has a fence that can hold at least a small dog inside, and dogs are welcome as long as they do not disturb the neighbours or chew or in any other way damage things. Well, that is of course true for all guests 😊.
Bedlinen and towels are not included.

Kärsby with surroundings is a calm area where most of the houses are summer houses. It is not a party area, and we ask our guests to respect that – and to enjoy it!

The closest stores and restaurants are about ten minutes away by car. To the center of Motala it takes just over ten minutes. In Motala with surroundings you can find several museums of different character: cultural, industrial, technical and more.

Not far from the cottage there are large forests with berries and mushrooms during season.

A half day trip to Vadstena or a day trip to Kolmården are within easy reach.

Me and my family love hanging out with friends, do water sports (well, maybe not all of us) and walk our dog in the beautiful Kärsby area (well, maybe not all of us). Our summer house - the cottage on the beach - is the perfect place for all of this and more. We will be happy to recommend excursions and activities for you if you rent our place.
