The place is perfect and comfy, you feel at home the first time you get in. The host is amazing! Patrick is kind and understanding. He doesn't treat you like a customer but like a friend. He made us map of places to see and gave us all the information we needed. I would go back there anytime! The location is beautiful, if you want to see the real ireland, don't go to Dublin, go to Miltown Malbay!

Fantastic stay! Communication beforehand was excellent, all questions answered in no time. Directions were clear. If in doubt use gps coordinates. The flat is on top of a garage on Patrick's property. It's well stocked with the basics including salt, oil, kettle, coffee, tea etc. Patrick provided some excellent bread, butter and jam for breakfast which we happily devoured. Great shower, separate bedroom with brand new mattress! We were the first to test it and we slept like logs. Patrick is a dream host. He's incredibly welcoming, has excellent tips including carefully drawn maps of the area. A car is needed as the place is a little secluded but it's close enough to Milltown Malbay for the Old Bake House Restaurant or Ennistymon should you fancy going further afield. The area is lovely - explore it. Patrick is reachable but also allows you privacy. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. Wish we could've stayed longer. Thanks Patrick!

Patrick's place is quiet and in a scenic location outside a nice little town. He gave us lots of good tips and we enjoyed our stay. Would certainly stay again as long as we had a car.

Patrick's place is perfect for exploring the area with great beaches, restaurants and walks minutes away. Not to mention the fabulous accommodation with sea and country views. We felt really lucky to have chosen to stay there and with Patrick's enthusiastic advice on the area we managed to make the most of our time there; visiting the Burren, the cliffs of Moher and the falls at Ennistymon, not to mention several great beaches. I can't recommend this enough.

Hi, I'm Patrick,I grew up in England but moved to Cork, Ireland in 1996. I completed a sign writers course while in Cork, and moved to County Clare in 2000. I now work from home as a sign-writer. I live on my own, and take the opportunity to travel to India during the rainy Irish winters.
I love riding my motorbike, and tour Europe on the bike for a few weeks every summer .
I also enjoy the peace and quiet of where I live , the beautiful scenery and daily walks by the sea.
I have recently started studying Art at a local college for 3 days a week.
I enjoy playing the guitar badly, riding my bicycle and swim regularly (snorkeling in the sea here is brilliant). I enjoy a good book, even though it takes me a while to get through it sometimes. Love playing my old vinyl and tape collection. Enjoy my visitors, and getting to know people from different cultures or backgrounds. Oh, and love a good game of backgammon and the odd glass of wine, or pint of Guinness. I like talking to and getting to know my guests but can be just in the background if that's what is preferred.
