About This Listing
Enjoy a large room in a historic farmhouse. King size bed, fireplace, antique door latches, large new luxury bathroom. Old Story Farm is a licensed Bed & Breakfast. Our rooms are listed separately to reserve your desired room. Breakfast included.
Not only is this home an authentic historic farmhouse, with the oldest section built in 1760, the home was expanded into a rooming house in the 1930's. We have owned the home for 1 year, and have been hard at work cleaning & restoring. Almost all of the original features remain: wood paneled walls; wide plank floors with hand wrought nails; fireplaces and plaster walls.
This room is one of 5 bedrooms in our Bed & Breakfast. Pricing includes 9% NH Rooms tax and large, gourmet breakfast.
We are located in the center of the state, directly off the interstate 89, 10 minutes to the capitol city of Concord, direct access to walking trails, charming Hopkinton Village. The farmhouse enjoys the convenience of easy access to the highway, yet feels private and secluded because of the mature grounds and rural landscape. There are nearby lakes and rivers, perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding, ski areas and hiking trails.
Living room with large television and premium cable, library, large pub-like room with pool table, screened porch, swimming pool (June - September), large yard with pond. Guests do not have access to the kitchen.
The Town of Hopkinton is a charming, historic town. The capitol city of Concord is next door, while in the area all around contains the natural beauty and resources that New Hampshire is famous for.
Other Things to Note
Pets are welcome. There is a $25 charge per pet per night.
Because we prepare breakfast for our guests and we operate under a NH food service license, guests may not have access to the kitchen (or refrigerator!)
We loved our stay in this wonderful B&B! The hosts were helpful and great cooks. The home has been updated enough for comfort but retains a ton of charm. This room was quite spacious. The bathroom we used was fabulous!!! I'm pretty sure Jennifer picked up all the best antiques and furniture in the area; every room in the home is lovely but comfortable. We will definitely come back if we are in the area again.
What a jewel of a find! This great dated house is tucked into a beautiful wooded area.
This historic house has been tastefully restored to the extent that each room is better than the other. The bedrooms are warm and cozy. The sitting rooms that are located throughout the house are all comfortable and inviting. The hosts are welcoming and genuinely happy to have you be part of their "great dream project." This is a fun stay near the charming village of Hopkinton...with its long history.
