Residence originally from 1930 that has been in the same family all the time. Something remodeled, but kept the old style where possible.
We really love this place and hope that all of our guest will feel the same.
The perfect place for relaxation
Its a warm log house with panoramic views of the alps and ideal for experiencing the Nordic lights in winter and the midnight sun in summer.

Own "shoreline belonging to the property.
Fishing allowed.

PETS ARE WELCOME!

The space
The main floor contains an entrance hall, small living room, large living room, bathroom and kitchen

The loft contains three bedrooms with wall to wall carpet, hallway with original wood floor and a small porch (smoking area) also suitable for dogs if it is not too cold outside.
We recommend families with children to be cautious about the attic stairs as this can be narrow and steep.

Outside and down by the shorline, is a nice place for pit fire.
To get to the nearest shop you have to drive to Sørkjosen, which is 7.6 km north. A 6 minutes drive.

Guest access
Our guests have access to almost the entire house, except one bedroom that we use as storage. The home is equipped with all necessary household equipment, and dogs are allowed somewhere inside the house.

Other things to note
We will answer most of your questions or try to help finding out for you.

Location

Rotsund, Troms, Norway

Nordreisa municipality and associated municipalities

Nordreisa is a municipality in Troms county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Storslett.
The municipality consists of the valley of Reisadalen, with the Reisa river and deep pine forests, surrounded by mountains and high plateaus. Most people live in Storslett, where the river meets the fjord. Sørkjosen is the location of Sørkjosen Airport with flights to Tromsø and several destinations in Finnmark. The European route E6 runs through the northern part of the municipality.
Storslett National Park Village is the gateway to one of Norway’s largest protected areas – Reisa National Park and functions as a hub for nature-based experiences in Nordreisa National Park Municipality.
In Storslett you will find everything you need to experience the national park and the surrounding areas. We have distinctive shops run by people who take service and hospitality seriously. The unique business community is characterized by our connection with nature and culture, and you will find many unique products. We have locally-produced farm products, cafés which have received national awards, renowned duodji(traditional Sami handicraft) artists and knowledge disseminators who offer cultural experiences based on the “meeting of the three tribes”.

Skjervøy

The island is not far from E-6 (approximately 20 minutes). If you drive here, you must run through the undersea tunnel under the strait, Maursund, and through a tunnel, Kågentunnelen, on the island Kågen. Both tunnels are of course free to run through. Skjervøy is the administrative center, here you will find a variety of services, including medical, pharmacy, post office, bank, cinema, hotel with bar and restaurant etc. Skjervøy has also a good selection of shops. Here is high school with a number of lines, in particular aimed to fisheries-related occupations. Skjervøy has the oldest wooden church in Nord Hålogaland, one of many dioceses in Norway.
