The one-bedroom cottage is located in the historic heart of Colorado Springs and within walking distance (or a short drive) of comfy coffee shops and one-of-a-kind gift shops. Of course, the views of the mountains are breath-taking!

The cottage has one bedroom (full size bed), one bathroom (with shower), kitchen (even the Crock-Pot is available!), and living room (with a queen-size sofa sleeper). Best of all, there is a working, vintage juke box in the living room.

The cottage has been lovingly decorated with vintage family furniture which includes Grandma's 1950s chrome kitchen table. As you can imagine, Grandma served many delicious homemade meals at this table!

Come stay with us, enjoy your stay in Colorado Springs, and become a part of our family.

Best of all, Grandma's special cookies are waiting for you upon your arrival!

  • This was my second stay in the cottage, where I feel so comfortable and safe. Missy and her daughter are superb hosts!

  • Missy helped me figure out booking issues so I could extend my stay at the cottage and I was treated like a member of the family. Missy and her daughter are just stellar hosts!

  • Great place for our stay in Colorado Springs. Had everything we needed, and Missy is a very good host. We enjoyed the cookies on arrival.

I would recommend this as somewhere to stay in Colorado Springs.

  • I loved the bed and pillows at the Missy's cottage! So comfortable! It was a peaceful, restful weekend for me -- just what I needed. Missy was so considerate and helpful. I'm looking forward to my next stay there.

  • Super little cottage, Missy went above and beyond to prepare this charming little cottage for her guests.
    You will not be disappointed.

  • Once again, Missy to the Rescue! Missy accommodated us at literally the last minute, and as usual her place is perfect. Thank you, Missy! You turned what started out as an extremely stressful day into a huge sigh of relief.

  • The" Step Back in Time Cottage" was perfect for my stay. I was looking for my own space close to where my son
lives and it was that and more. Missy was accomodating and a good communicator. The cottage is sweet and exceptionally clean. She left home made cookies for me and was very nice about my very late arrival. The house is on a large main street but because the cottage is set back a bit it was very quiet.

  • Staying in the cottage at Missy's place was great. She is an over the top hostess , the location is great just a short walk to the heart of C Springs. We will be back.

  • Missy's cottage was fantastic! Great location, walking distance to all the stores and restaurants downtown. The cottage had everything we needed and we made ample use of the grill and kitchen which helped us save some money on our visit. The bed and couch are both SUPER comfortable, the 3 of us that stayed had a hard time getting up in the morning! We stayed in the cottage during a cold and snowy spell, and with the cookies on the table that Missy made us and the little Christmas tree in the living room, it felt like waking up on Christmas morning :) Next time we are in Colorado Springs, this will be our number one choice for lodging, no question.

  • What a special place! When we arrived late at night the decorative lights outside had a welcoming feeling. Homemade cookies on the table plus bagels and juice were another really nice touch. Missy was very helpful and inviting. It was easy to prepare a family dinner for our CC student and his friends on one of our nights there since the kitchen already had all the basics. Oh and the juke box and eclectic decoration were very sweet.

About
I am an elementary school principal, and I have the best job in the world! My hobbies include playing the piano and trumpet, being an amateur (ham) radio operator, and visiting with my grandchildren via the Internet. I am very much a "people" person, and I enjoy building relationships. My favorite book of all time? Tuck Everlasting. Lisbeth, my daughter, is a registered nurse and works for a local school district. Lisbeth is an avid marathon runner and loves to be with her niece and nephews. I guess my life motto would have to be our school's motto: If it is to be, it is up to me.
