We do not wear shoes in our home and thank you in advance for doing the same. We do not allow pets due to allergies. We keep our home smoke-free (the front porch being the exception). We ask that common sense prevail with all considerations.
The apartment space is part of our home. We ask to keep noise at reasonable levels and times, as we will do the same. We thank you for enjoying and respecting the space.
Paul was very friendly and helpful. Alas, we had a blizzard for our two day stay and we're unable to go outside for a day. The upstairs room has two big windows and we were warm and cozy as we watched the snow accumulate. Paul made sure the steps were clear of snow. He offered to help us in any way possible. The place is very clean. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom looks newly renovated. If we had to be snowed in, this was a nice place to be.
This being our 1st airbnb experience, it was just perfect. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Paul, hopefully next time we will have an opportunity to meet you.
Had a great time in Charlottesville. Paul's place was clean and the location was great. The check-in and check-out procedures could not have been easier. Thanks for a great stay!
Great house. Gorgeous bathroom. Paul is a great communicator which makes for a great host. Zero complaints.
Paul was extremely nice and helpful. We had a great time in Charlottesville. The house is perfect for 3 people and I slept like a rock upstairs! Thanks
Paul was a excellent host: warm, gracious, and accommodating. We were traveling with out two small children and Paul made us feel completely welcome. The place was exactly as shown and we loved the sparseness (few breakable objects for small people!) The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was perfect. The walk downtown was about 10 mins and we walked it multiple times a day without issue. This was really an ideal first airbnb experience for us.
The process is very straight forward and we were able to check-in and out on our schedule. It is very very clean, the updated bathroom is great with good water pressure in the shower. It fits 3 people with one person sleeping on the downstairs futon and has bedding provided. There is tea and coffee provided along with wonderful clean towels. There is no sink in the kitchen but they provide a fridge with brita water. It is conveniently located to the campus and downtown. They offer a parking pass for street parking.
The age of the house (built in 1900) and lack of updates, along with its location on a busy street where trucks frequently drive or people blast their stereos, makes it noisy. You can see outside along one side of the front door and its frame. The space has doors leading to the rest of the house (non-airbnb) in every room; light and sound comes in from under these doors - it sounds like someone is taking a shower in the kitchen when they use it next door. The upstairs bedroom door opened spontaneously in the middle of the night and my fellow travelers were unable to close it as there is no doorknob on the side of the rental space. They also mentioned the street noise upstairs.
