This luxurious hideaway brings you the finest modern style renovated Japanese house. The design concept is to slow down your life, live peacefully and relax into nature.
It was partially inspired by how Finnish people spend time in their summer cottages. Life here is about spending time in nature with close friends and family. Prepare your food, eat and talk together. Celebrate your connections and shared lifestyle values as you become one with the mountains, forests and seas that surround you. A special inn for relaxing, freeing yourself and recharging. It seems like a waste to stay only one night. Spend a few and your encounters with the life, people and rich history of the village and area shall not be forgotten.

Large sliding doors and windows are everywhere around the inn. Open them up to seamlessly connect with nature. The large window in the living room connects to the bbq space and you can enjoy eating together in the kitchen, dining, living and bbq space all at the same time.

Custom-made products are placed throughout the inn for your viewing pleasure. The remade tools by a famous designer focus on traditional design for ease of use and to be aesthetically pleasing. You can really feel how people lived in the past.

A short 5-minute drive has you on the heart of Yunotsu Onsen, the finest hot spring around. Come explore the historic town with a tour of the kilns and traditional Shinto rituals that have been passed down from generation to generation. Locals are dedicated to keeping these traditions alive and remain a part of their life. The magnificent Iwami Kagura in the majestic shrine precinct is a site to behold. You will return home with images that stay with you forever.

Guest access
The whole property and surrounding garden are all only for the guests. Feel free to make yourself at home inside the house, the large backyard and/or the barbecue space.
Vegetables grown only with humus in the backyard are organic without any pesticides or fertilizers. Don’t miss out on having a taste!

The quaint village is surrounded by stone and all sound is magnified so please be considerate of the neighbors and don’t talk too loudly.
You can have a barbecue and fireworks outside, but make sure to be finished by 21:30.
According to the rules of the residents' association; fireworks other than hand-held fireworks are prohibited.
Please pay attention and be careful of fires after barbecues and/or fireworks.
Please do not enter any private properties other than HÏSOM without permission.
