Description

A stunning view apartment on top of the hills of famous Manuel Antonio. Most desirable location, total relaxation - best value !

The apartment is the top floor of a 2 story private house.
It offers two air-conditioned bedrooms (one with a king size bed + one with a queen bed), two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen and a fabulous covered terrace with striking ocean views overlooking the main beach and the "Isla Grande" of the National Park Manuel Antonio.

It provides a fully equipped kitchen and an outside covered living/dining-area with gas-BBQ. Safe parking at the house, multi lingual concierge as well as maid service. Free WiFi and local phone calls, cable TV.

Enjoy the great ocean view right in front of the spacious terrace, relaxing in the hammocks! The house is so special and comfortable, you never want to leave!

This top floor apartment can be combined with the 1 (or 2) split level studios on the ground level to accommodate larger groups.

Location, Location, Location!

Nestled into the steep coastal hills right in the middle of Manuel Antonio, this apartment is within minutes of many restaurants, cafés and bars, as well as yoga & wellness studios, groceries, market, boutiques and activities. Only 1 mile from the main beach and the National Park.

Manuel Antonio's mountainous coastal terrain is steep and so are many of its access roads leading to the houses with the “trophy” sea-views. Our driveway descends down from the coastal road for about 85m and can be challenging for the unfit or just too much for older travellers. It is not suitable for the walking disabled.

Our guests have full access to the entire apartment, porch and terrace, parking lot and gardens. Free wireless internet and local phone calls, cable TV.

We meet the guests when they arrive and are here during their stay for any requests, questions or problems. We provide a complete information and background for any needs in our area, tours and activities, events, restaurant guides, and more.

The neighborhood is a quiet, residential area with individual houses. From the top of the hill you can walk to most of the restaurants, bars, grocery stores and shops.

The property is about 15 minutes walking or 3 minutes by car/taxi or frequent and cheap bus service from the beach and National Park of Manuel Antoio.

Closest airport is San Jose (SJO), with several options for transportation to Quepos:

SANSA AND NATURE AIR are the two local airlines, taking you to Quepos or back to San Jose, the flight is 25 minutes, the ticket cost $ 75.-/pax one way. Both airlines can be found in the web and tickets can be easy purchased online.

INTERBUS AND GRAYLINE: shuttle service with several pick up and drop off locations.

The other option is a van transportation, pick up at the airport upon your arrival and drop off at the property. That way you can already enjoy your drive from the Central Valley to the Pacific Coast.

VAN TRANSPORTATION: door to door service (any time day or night)
Ask us for the current price.

You can, of course, also rent a vehicle and drive by yourself, but I can always see the guests arriving very exhausted. For your individual transportation then in Manuel Antonio, there are several rental car companies with similar cars and prices:

RENTAL CAR COMPANIES represented in QUEPOS:
Thrifty, Hertz, Alamo, Adobe, Budget, Toyota, Economy, National

Absolutely lovely home! The location couldn't have been any better. Close to Manuel Antonio Park. Fabulous bars and restaurants all within walking distance. The view was amazing with a wonderful ocean breeze! Angie went above and beyond to help us and her recommendations were spot on. We also had quite a few laughs navigating the steep drive into the development by foot and car. Be sure to have 4 wheel if you are planning to drive there. It was a fabulous way to end our vacation in Costa Rica. Highly recommended :)

We had a wonderful time here. The property is very well maintained and welcoming. The highlight was watching wildlife from the balcony. We visited in late March and saw three kinds of monkeys, iguanas, toucans, parrots, frogs, geckos, and more types of birds than we can count. The view is out of this world. Paradise! If you are lucky enough to find this place available, book it now!

Casa LunaTica has the best deck! This is where we spent the most time. We saw a monkey parade almost everyday along with toucans, lizards, and lots of other types of birds. The kitchen had all the necessities to make our daily breakfast and the sofas were comfy (although we didn't do much sitting). The air conditioning in the smaller bedroom gave us some issues throughout the trip. The remote didn't work. So sometimes it was too cold and sometimes we couldn't get it to blow cold air. The maintenance man was able to fix it. Angie was great. She greeted us with some food items and some advice on where to eat. We enjoyed dinner at Cafe Milagro and Barba Roja best. Lunch was tasty at Buru which is located just outside of Manuel Antonio Park. Mojitos were delicious at El Avion as well as the fresh baked pastries next door. The bus stop to get yourself anywhere was just at the top of the hill from Casa LunaTica and very easy to use. The hill is a steep one and not for the faint of heart. Angie also set up two activities for us. The sunset sail was so much fun and highly recommended. The crew on the boat was so nice and the dinner they served to us was one of the best we had all week. We cannot recommend the mangrove tour. We did not see many animals and the water we were paddling through was dirty with trash. The one cool thing that I did learn about was about cashew trees. Lastly, the van ride to/from SJO was arranged by Angie and our drivers were great. They took us to the bigger supermarket in Quepos and made small pitstops along the way to see crocodiles and pretty viewpoints. Overall, we recommend the Casa LunaTica. It's close to everything you need for your time in Manuel Antonio yet quiet and secluded.

Best views. I could have just stayed in the deck the whole trip and watched the monkeys, sloths, toucans and birds. My kids were in awe everyday. The driveway is steep so I recommend 4x4.

Moved from Switzerland 18 years ago, just love it here! The people are "pura vida", life is so easy, the climate is very healthy! Very lucky to have purchased a big piece of property in the Playa Macha area, declared as green area, where I offer the Villa Malinche, the Tree House and the Jungle Dream Cabin. Our environment is like the National Park, lot's of birds, wildlife and very peaceful, surrounded by lush rain forest!
My wife Lili is a licensed physic therapist, also with a great dedication for massages, she can make you feel in heaven.... Don't miss an onsite treatment during your stay!
We are happy to share this relaxed jungle feeling on our property with the people we meet through Airbnb. Just lay back in the hammocks, taste the famous coffee and watch the monkeys fly by...
