Description

The space

The apartment is the top floor of a 2 story private house.
It offers two air-conditioned bedrooms (one with a king size bed + one with a queen bed), two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen and a fabulous covered terrace with striking ocean views overlooking the main beach and the "Isla Grande" of the National Park Manuel Antonio.

It provides a fully equipped kitchen and an outside covered living/dining-area with gas-BBQ. Safe parking at the house, multi lingual concierge as well as maid service. Free WiFi and local phone calls, cable TV.

Enjoy the great ocean view right in front of the spacious terrace, relaxing in the hammocks! The house is so special and comfortable, you never want to leave!

This top floor apartment can be combined with the 1 (or 2) split level studios on the ground level to accommodate larger groups.

Location, Location, Location!

Nestled into the steep coastal hills right in the middle of Manuel Antonio, this apartment is within minutes of many restaurants, cafés and bars, as well as yoga & wellness studios, groceries, market, boutiques and activities. Only 1 mile from the main beach and the National Park.

Guest access

Manuel Antonio's mountainous coastal terrain is steep and so are many of its access roads leading to the houses with the “trophy” sea-views. Our driveway descends down from the coastal road for about 85m and can be challenging for the unfit or just too much for older travellers. It is not suitable for the walking disabled.

Our guests have full access to the entire apartment, porch and terrace, parking lot and gardens. Free wireless internet and local phone calls, cable TV.

Interaction with guests

We meet the guests when they arrive and are here during their stay for any requests, questions or problems. We provide a complete information and background for any needs in our area, tours and activities, events, restaurant guides, and more.

The neighborhood

The neighborhood is a quiet, residential area with individual houses. From the top of the hill you can walk to most of the restaurants, bars, grocery stores and shops.

Getting around

The property is about 15 minutes walking or 3 minutes by car/taxi or frequent and cheap bus service from the beach and National Park of Manuel Antoio.

Closest airport is San Jose (SJO), with several options for transportation to Quepos:

SANSA AND NATURE AIR are the two local airlines, taking you to Quepos or back to San Jose, the flight is 25 minutes, the ticket cost $ 75.-/pax one way. Both airlines can be found in the web and tickets can be easy purchased online.

INTERBUS AND GRAYLINE: shuttle service with several pick up and drop off locations.

The other option is a van transportation, pick up at the airport upon your arrival and drop off at the property. That way you can already enjoy your drive from the Central Valley to the Pacific Coast.

VAN TRANSPORTATION: door to door service (any time day or night)
Ask us for the current price.

You can, of course, also rent a vehicle and drive by yourself, but I can always see the guests arriving very exhausted. For your individual transportation then in Manuel Antonio, there are several rental car companies with similar cars and prices:

RENTAL CAR COMPANIES represented in QUEPOS:
Thrifty, Hertz, Alamo, Adobe, Budget, Toyota, Economy, National

Thomas and Lili's place was FANTASTIC. It is located in the heart of Manuel Antonio, a quick walk to restaurants, bars, beautiful beaches, the national park. We had squirrel monkeys and white faced monkeys visit us on the patio, we also saw a variety of beautiful birds. The view! That's a whole 'nother advantage to this place...breathtaking.

Great location! Great view! Great host! Angie was fantastic. She greeted us upon arrival and let us know she could help scheduling any activities we might be interested in. Truly a fantastic host. Would definitely stay again!

My two sons and I arrived at the beautiful Casa Luna Tica and were greeted by Angie upon arrival. The ocean view was more beautiful than we even imagined! Angie kindly arranged our pick up from Quepos airport and spent time orienting us with the area. We were really haggard from long travels and she even escorted us to a delicious lunch spot, which was incredibly kind and appreciated!!! As we only had a short time in MA, Angie also prearranged our tours. Each of them were top-notch and we were grateful for her local knowledge and expertise with organizing. We had an issue with the safe and Thomas came to the house within 10 minutes to fix the situation. The location was very close to many great restaurants and the hike up the driveway was not that bad, especially because of the beautiful gardens and numerous iguanas to look at! The highlight of our short time at Casa Luna Tica was probably the day the white faced monkeys came to visit the deck, swing on the hammocks, hang on the railings, and play on the table. They were so playful and fun to watch! I wish we had more time. This was an amazing and memorable place to stay! Thank you!

This was one of our favorite stops in Costa Rica. There are plentiful animals to see, a beautiful and comfortable porch with a great views to enjoy, and clean rooms with everything we needed for our stay. Angie was great helping us arrange our activities. The location was close to everything we wanted to do. We could easily walk, drive, or take the bus to every site or activity that interested us. Do be sure to have a four-wheel drive for the driveway if you have a car rental. If we return, we would easily choose to stay at Thomas and Lili's again.

Absolutely lovely home! The location couldn't have been any better. Close to Manuel Antonio Park. Fabulous bars and restaurants all within walking distance. The view was amazing with a wonderful ocean breeze! Angie went above and beyond to help us and her recommendations were spot on. We also had quite a few laughs navigating the steep drive into the development by foot and car. Be sure to have 4 wheel if you are planning to drive there. It was a fabulous way to end our vacation in Costa Rica. Highly recommended :)

Everyone was very nice, but unfortunately I would not recommend this location. While the view is very nice, the house is rather shabby inside and the air conditioner leaked, creating giant puddles. For such a high price you would be better off with a local hotel, which would be more luxurious. I don't mind roughing it (and often do), I just don't like paying high end prices for it. The street is steeper than anything I've even experienced in San Fran and the drive is impossible to park in. Even with a four wheel drive I got stuck and had to be pushed out.

Thomas + Lili User ProfileThomas + Lili is a superhost.

Moved from Switzerland 18 years ago, just love it here! The people are "pura vida", life is so easy, the climate is very healthy! Very lucky to have purchased a big piece of property in the Playa Macha area, declared as green area, where I offer the Villa Malinche, the Tree House and the Jungle Dream Cabin. Our environment is like the National Park, lot's of birds, wildlife and very peaceful, surrounded by lush rain forest!
My wife Lili is a licensed physic therapist, also with a great dedication for massages, she can make you feel in heaven.... Don't miss an onsite treatment during your stay!
We are happy to share this relaxed jungle feeling on our property with the people we meet through Airbnb. Just lay back in the hammocks, taste the famous coffee and watch the monkeys fly by...
