Right in the heart of the world's most exciting city! Cozy room, homey kitchen, brilliant host, what more could you want?

The Space

You'll have your own room in this amazing, remodeled 43rd Street Times Square tenement— Grand Central, the Port Authority Bus Terminal, Penn Station and all three international airports are just minutes away! If you want to save money on restaurants, I'm a gourmet cook and will host a meal for you—complete with wine, for enough to cover the food and expense. All this, not to mention being just a block from The Great White Way! I am a licensed New York City Tour Guide and can show you the intimate details of "The City That Never Sleeps" as you would have never thought possible. Of course, full Internet, parking and an eye-opening vista from the rooftop! So, what are you waiting for? Give us a call and come on over--I may even be able to get you into the David Letterman show and help you bid for tickets at the Broadway shows around the corner not to mention the TKTS booth! : -)

Guest Access

Full Internet/WiFi, kitchen, bath, living room and an AeroBed if you need it!

Interaction with Guests

As mentioned I'm a licensed New York City Tour Guide so let me know what your interests are and I'll be able to create a custom exploration of the worlds greatest city –just for you! Architecture, science, literature visual arts, sports or entertainment--I can hook you up. Get ready for a vacation or business trip you'll never forget!

The Neighborhood

This is the most convenient neighborhood on earth! Since it's right in the heart of Times Square – just of the border of Hells kitchen – you'll find yourself within 30 minutes of any of the city's most famous attractions including the waterfront, Broadway, and museums. We're across from the Port Authority, down the street from Grand Central, and just a few short blocks from Penn station! Look up the street and you can see the trees of Central Park. It doesn't get more convenient than this :-)

Getting around

Not only are we right across the street from the NYC Airporter stop (LaGuardia and JFK) and Newark airport bus stops at the Port Authority bus terminal, we are just up the street from Penn station from where the Long Island Railroad and Amtrak embark. You just need to take a short walk down the street to Grand Central for the MTA Hudson River lines for quick excursions out of the city upstate! The Woodbury Commons outlets bus is just two blocks away :-) All subways are right here on 42nd St. as well as the cruise ship terminals just a few blocks away. This is New York baby!

Other Things to Note

Your room is located in a restored 1890s tenement. This means despite its compactness, the high ceilings and ample light make this space a treasure since it's on the corner. Also since we're in the back you won't believe how quiet it is. As I write I can hear the sparrows singing :-) Sometimes the only thing you'll hear at night are the Central Park horse and carriages clip-clopping back to their barns!

  • In the 5 days we spend at his appartment, George (email hidden)riving at the appartment at midnight was no problem as he stayed awake for our arrival. A delicious breakfast was made for us every morning. We didn't spend a lot of time in the appartment but George did his best to give us tips about what to do and where to go. The room is small but cosy and very conveniently located at Times Square. There wasn't a lot of noise at night, especially considering the location.

  • George was simply amazing! He is such a nice, kind and wonderful person! We are so glad having met him!

We had inspiring conversations on many, many topics, he cooked delicious meals for us, took us to the coolest NY places and helped us with every single question we had! He really made us feel comfortable.

The apartment itself is very clean, super cosy and directly located on Times Square.

George is really great. (email hidden) was like being at home. We really made a new friend! We are very grateful.

We highly recommend George's place to everybody!

  • I have had perfect days in New York.
George is the most friendly person in Airbnb. When I come back in NY, I will be hosted in his house again.
    I recommend.

  • George is a very friendly and helpful host. The apartment is centrally located. His breakfast is like a five star hotel. The beds are good and comfortable and the only thing you should be aware of before you book this place is that it's small spaces.

Christer I so appreciated your positive response to Cool! You're own Times Square Room! ...AND your support and encouragement for the completion of my book, The Edge, which is being written only because of the support of you and people like you! Thanks Christer : )

  • Great host, convenient location to Times Square. George took goof care of us! Enjoyed it. Warning! The bedroom is SMALL and the ladder up to the loft bed is steep.

    Response from George:

Though we have installed a railing on the loft and secured the ladder, elderly people may not be the best candidates for Your Own Times Square Room...everyone else adores it and we thank you them their wonderful comments as they are essential to our "business!" :-)

  • Just like the description, George's apartment had the most advantageous location, just right across the street from the Port a Authority Bus Terminal which is the main comprehensive public transportation center of New York to go almost everywhere, especially the famous outlet Woodbury Common Premium.

Besides the nearby subway station, you also can just walk to everywhere in downtown of Manhattan from his apartment. It's more time-saving than subway for first-time-visitor based on my experiences. It took me only 15 minutes to walk to the Broadway and the famous 5th Ave of New York.

Furthermore, if you are looking forward to a bonus tourist other than the damn USCPA exam in New York, there you go, it's a simple room, but safe, and undoubtedly price-killing option in the center of Manhattan, plus a kind and enthusiastic host!

  • George is the perfect host, rarely at home but when he is there he's a great friend to live with. Our last night we cook togheder some fishes, beer, played guitar and made some time laps photos. Plus, you are going to stay just in center of Time Square. I guess it's enough guys ;)

    Response from George:

I believe I have met my match in you Andrea! It was with sadness I watched you go, but with hope I will see you again. The beer you brought me from Italy, Birra Artigianale Quarta Runa! The finest beer in Italy, and possibly the world! Thank you again!

  • George (email hidden)! Very informed about the city, polite and helpful. The apartment is bright, cozy and homey. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Loved the antique old West decor. His roof is amazing!

To anyone who wants to be in the center of the city, just off Times Square with transportation only seconds away to all points, I highly recommend George's place!
