I booked the smaller casita the day before I arrived as a place to retreat for some quiet and reflection after I had to put my beloved 10-year-old dog to sleep. For 3 days I read, napped, took long baths and made myself healthy meals. The super-comfortable bed and rocking recliner were perfect. The surroundings were lush and green and, while there was noise all day from the wood shop across the way where Christine and her family have their business, I was able to block it out with the help of the swamp cooler. Christine is a kind and welcoming host. She took me on a little tour when I arrived and introduced me to members of her family. She left me a bowl of fresh fruit and a bottle of wine, brought a bike over for me to ride and invited me to cool off in the large pool and pick peaches from the neighboring orchard. Other than a few morning walks and a visit to Tumacacori Mission next door, I stayed in - very uncharacteristic of my travels, but it worked its magic. Although I was still sad when I left, I was closer to feeling like me again. Thank you!
Exactly as described. We had a great experience--comfortable, clean, affordable, homey. Quite pleased with our decision to stay there.
